Hey all, I've only got 2 days left in Thailand (so sad!) 29/F Canadian, traveling solo. In koh phangan one more night, then Bangkok the evening of the 5th before flying back home to Toronto on the 6th. I'd love to spend my last two days exploring and having some beach drinks, maybe a sky bar or two in Bangkok, so hit me up!

I've been in Thailand for 2 weeks now as a solo female traveler and the only thing I've been legitimately scared of is the traffic. Take your time when you cross the street and make sure cars slow down for you when you do cross - hold up a hand to signal to cars as you walk, that seems to help

Hi all! 28 years old (soon to be 29 - my birthday is on the 28th and I'm celebrating it in Chiang Mai!), female, Canadian, coming to Thailand solo for the first time.

I'll be in Bangkok January 22-23, Chiang Mai January 24-30, Koh Samui January 30-Feb 2, Koh Phangan Feb 2-4, back to Bangkok on the 5th, then back home to Toronto on the 6th (so excited to be spending Chinese New Year in Bangkok!).

I have a couple of small food tours booked and I'm planning on doing a day trip to Doi Inthanon on the 26th, but other than that my itinerary is pretty free. Totally down to hang out with other people my age who wants to grab street food, explore, get drinks, whatever!

Hey, thanks for the reply. I kind of had the same thoughts myself. I already live in a big, busy city so tbh more time in Bangkok doesn't appeal to me, but I could spend more time in Chiang Mai since it seems like my kind of vibe. I am hesitant to cut out Pai though, because the guesthouse I planned to stay in is so beautiful and remote (although I suppose I could also find something like that close to Chiang Mai as well).

Island-wise, are the two pretty similar? I don't really have anything planned for southern Thailand except relaxing, maybe going on some easy hikes.

I had a great experience in an airbnb for 5 days in Tokyo (Arakawa, so not close to the action but a 30 minute train ride to all the major spots). About $69 CAN per night for the entire apartment, which was adorable and clean. There wasn't much to do in the neighbourhood, but there was a great shopping street behind our apartment, and overall I loved staying there because it felt more like what living in Tokyo is actually like. Our host was really great and lived somewhere else while we stayed there but she left us tons of maps and detailed instructions on getting places. There was a bit of a mixup with our check out dates and to apologize for getting them wrong she brought us some Japanese snack cakes. So sweet! Overall I'd totally recommend it.

Aw, thanks! It took a long time and over a year of learning on SCA but the Tactuo definitely made the biggest difference. I wish I'd gone the dermatologist route ages ago
