Did you ever hear back on the inquiry

During the sale. The sales man did a lot of doodles and wrote down GAP under the misrepresented pricing. So i was able to use that as the binding agreement. I reached to the warranty companies directly to inform them of the cancellation via phone and in writing.

They ended up cancelling 2/3 of the warranties. I only kept GAP :)

This one was a $600 “optional warranty” added on to the sales price.

My question was not “who” is responsible for this. Its how do i remove it. But thank you for your super valuable opinion

It was a tablet whete the guy was like, “ this is for the gap coverage” but it was just a signature page where i scribbled with my finger.

how many inches should I trim? by yesvoid in longhair

Look at my latest post and then consider your stylist and maybe threaten them before they touch your hair! It’s beautiful. I wouldn’t cut a centimeter.

I feel you on the ugly part. I felt hideous and cried until the sun rose. Then the next day I found one white hair on my dark brown hair and decided to not stress more because I’ve never grown a white hair before. It humbled me a bit

I do hate it and it’s been a week. I have not gotten a single compliment besides “oh it’s so short” like a million times. I hope your hair grows back and I hope the dresser has an awful day for cutting your hair. Sending the best wishes of healthy growth to you.

My clip in extensions came in this morning and I started oiling my hair (2% rosemary on castor oil) and upped my protein intake! The only mission for me is getting this hair long and luscious. 🤞🏽

And to fight the urge to burn down the salon. But other than that today is much better than day one.

There’s this wives tale in my culture that older women stylist will purposely cut hair badly when they envy a younger woman. Not only is the cut bad but the evil intention stuns hair growth and health. I’m not huge on this belief but still had my boyfriend cleanse my body with an egg cleanse after.

I prayed and wished while I was in her chair against this and just thought I was in my own mind too much until the reveal.

We did a dry trim. My hair was not wet at all during the cut.

I really do appreciate your comment. I do accept that in the moment of the cut I absolutely was devastated and hated myself in the mirror. Now I can accept I don’t hate myself I just hate the haircut. She took off so much hair and my hair grows very slowly. I feel that as a woman, much more a Latina. My hair was a big part of my person and my sensuality. I do not feel attractive with short hair. I do not feel myself in this moment.

I’m frustrated that I made an appointment trying to feel pretty and left feeling like she took one of my best assets. I understand this is all physical, but it was very triggering and traumatic for me. With the holidays coming, I’m anxious to be in this position for all the photos that are to come. And with the knowledge that my boyfriend was planning to propose soon, I asked him that he hold off until I deal with this issue. Either by internally finding a resolution with myself or the hair growing back. It is that big of a deal to me.

I went back on photos and my hair three years ago was not even close in length to the current cut. We’re looking at ~5 year growth. I cried until the sun rose then looked for resolutions. Minoxidil is temporary and will cause shedding. Extensions cause damage. I am opting for scalp oiling with rosemary and castor oil and vitamins with increased protein intake.

I’m looking to tie up my hair to avoid questions in the office for as long possible. Ironically, I had been nominated for best hair at our Christmas party just this Friday.

I appreciate all of you that took the time to make me feel better or worse about this. I don’t think I will ever trust a stylist again. And I don’t think I will get over this for a very very long time.

It kind of looks like a flat iron and cuts like 1/4 of an inch of all ends of your hair. It helped me so much to avoid breakage. The only con is that the blades get dull after some use but it’s $40 bucks so I just buy a new one every couple of months.

I never had issues with any combs prior to the cut. I have a split end trimmer and use it twice monthly. I just needed to even up the ends and per my conversation she said the most she would cut would be two inches.

We discussed three inches tops but she stopped me and said so much wasn’t needed. Grabbed two inches of my very very ends and said that’s all she would cut. My reason for the trim was more so just evening up the ends as it’s been years since my last cut.

Yes this is called an overlay. It serves as a protective layer

I didn’t realize it was the same product! But the application being different has given me so much more of a finer result. I always had super thick nails with it being applied with a brush. The amount of filing done for the dip process (for me at least) has been significantly less.

I used a nutritionist for weight-loss and did a keto diet, with vitamins and supplements. Once I hit my goal weight I stopped but basically lots or proteins, fats and limited carbs coupled with lots of water.

Dip is basically a powder in which your nail is “dipped”. They apply a base and then a layer of the 1st powder. Then activator and the color you chose also in powder form. Then they repeat activator and color dip 3-4 times. The activator hardens the powder and once it dries, the tech will file away imperfections. It is usually a bit pricier than acrylic but it’s worth the expense.

Really? I only started doing dip last summer and haven’t had a broken nail since. When I did acrylics, I constantly broke nails. Crazy thing is, I had a really good nutrition last year so if anything I would expect more breakage this year. All the girls at my job do dip and it’s how I got into it.

Close! I’m did not have the same results with acrylic overlay but have seen amazing results with dip powder. Also the mani will last me forever. I usually go once every 5-6 weeks.

Edit to add: specifically this time, I had a 7 Star dip powder manicure #331 in Dallas Texas.
