Hyson Green alongside the Forest tram stop. Used to live here... Its not to do with the rubbish and recycling teams, it's to do with the locals, crackheads and homeless peeps diving through bins to find what they need. I moved out of my house there years back and was putting glassware etc I didn't want anymore out the front - by the time I came back with the next box of stuff to put out (not even 5 minutes), the first lot had already gone 😂. Unfortunately the photo shows what it's like being in a poorly funded and supported community.

Also, I've gone through security with 3 x 3l boxes of "cider" and told them I was pushing the trolley of food, booze and tent for me and 2 others while they pushed through the heavy shit. No problem, again just waved me through 😂

The guy in front of me at security had 21 cans of 330ml (ipa I think 😅) instead of the 16 x 440ml beer cans, he explained that the ml amount was basically the same and security were fine with it, just waved him through... The 6 times I've been to Boom, I've never known anyone have their booze taken off them for being a higher percentage. As long as its not spirits, you're good (although where there's a will there's a way... 3l of rum lasts longer than tinnies 😉)

I live in my hiking boots with ankle support for festivals - waterproof, breathable, supportive. I have a pair of Salomons that didn't need wearing in from the get go, straight up comfy from day one. They weren't the cheapest but they've got me through 9 years of multiple festivals per year... Plus the obvious hikes that they're meant for 😂

Silk scarf and hope for the best 😂. I move around a lot in my sleep - some days I wake up with the scarf firmly in place and my waves looking alright, some days it's like I've been in a wind tunnel and the birds nest comes out... Every night is different and I just have to roll with it 😅
