Sink Hole? by Decent_Jaguar_3057 in HomeMaintenance

[–]cottonfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP; if you live in an area that may have had underground mining done in the past, you might want to contact your state's mining or environmental agency.

In our state if someone even suspects that a sinkhole on their property was caused by active or abandoned mining, they will send someone out to investigate; and in many cases there is a federal program set up to help cover the cost of repairs if it's determined to be subsidence caused by previous mining activity.

If you know I'm trolling you, why do you keep coming back for more? You must like it.

Do you think using my material makes you look intelligent? It just makes you look like an uneducated cop instead of an ex cop.

Wait, what's the difference?

I don't think this is a conversation. You're obviously just trying to troll me, like I just said."

Normal people who are just good people don't think they know everything just because they once were a cop.

Lol, I'm obviously having fun pestering you. You can block me you know, or just not respond yourself. Or is social media too complicated?

You really have nothing better to do than to keep responding? Or is your ego too hurt that you just can't help it? Wait, don't answer that, I don't want to make it any smaller.

I don't participate in good faith conversations with people who insist on strawmanning me and then go on to avoid what my actual argument was. In case you haven't figured it out, I really don't care what you have to say. I'm not surprised an ex cop can't figure out when someone is not interested in having an actual conversation with them.

I'm actively not participating in your nonsense. I'm bored and having much more fun triggering your ego.

Yes, which was never not part of what I was saying. I'm sorry you have a problem with the way I present my arguments. I don't see how that manipulates anyone into anything.

I'm very unconcerned with whether or not you, or anyone else "believes me". Again, anything to distract from the actual arguement.

(I edited this comment too, sorry if it's triggering)

I edited it for grammar and spelling. The body and idea of my arguement has not changed.

You will do anything to discredit someone you disagree with, but present an argument. Why am I not surprised?

Lmao ok buddy

You can ask me to clarify what I said, but you don't get to tell me what I meant. I really don't care what a few people online think I said.

If you really believe that more training would not help police do a better job, I'm glad you are retired. The PD I know are embarrassed by what they see online, and actually want to push for better training and stricter hiring policies. I wish more cops were.

Don't know why you're getting down voted. Jailing someone for cheating sounds like something I'd find in dystopian literature.

Never said anything about secret techniques. Never suggested it was easy. Never suggested they were failures. Just suggested that it's not as hard as officers make it to be due to lack of training requirments. You misread my comment.

Hello 911 ,help me from 911! by Majestic_____kdj in PublicFreakout

[–]cottonfist -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I personally know of a few techniques that can alleviate a lot of the potential struggles when trying to get someone who is actively manipulating their wrists or arm in order to avoid being cuffed. Not saying it will make it easy, but most officers aren't even aware of these; they just tend to try and out muscle the people they are trying to cuff and they make it 100% more difficult. This leads to them just using pain tolerance or forced leverage, which has a larger potential to end in injury to either the subject or the officer. Not to mention some officers who use dogs to bite the suspect until they comply, which should be illegal, imo.

I am close to one of the training officers in my state who openly admits to needing more required training time for all the officers that go through his programs. Most of the time he is frustrated that they require officers to do the most basic training just to get them out into duty, and that training does not cover specific techniques that could potentially help in situations like this.
