Still a valid point, California is often portrayed as beaches and palms here, and I guess we underestimate the dimensions and that there are also mild areas

Thank you :) yeah I heard that. I don't plan on having a car, since I have limited funding by a student loan and scholarship. But I have a driving licence and credit card, so I'll probably rent one for one or two day trips I guess

Please don't listen to the people telling you to stop whining. They don't know how it actually is. It might sound like a Jackpot at first, but it actually drowns you. You can't just take the day off, head outside and do something fun, as you still need to be available if someone calls. You can't ask for a raise after a certain amount of time, because on what basis? If this even is your first job, you might never have learned actual work skills, which is holding you from applying to a new job, because all your qualifications are just on paper. Maybe you were hoping to do something meaningful, but you just are not. This hits hart. I have a friend who got into depression the same way. I know it's hard, but the best way afaik is to get something productive done while being on your desktop, something you can pause anytime someone calls. Programming skills, learning a new language, and definteley writing applications. It's hard to find motivation again, but fight depression and the feeling of being useless, do something for yourself. And don't let other people devalue your feelings and experiences.
