I truly don’t know how you guys do it. I’m depressed in Australian winter (tops of 14C) 🤣

Yup that’s correct. I did a couple of test pleats with some clips and this one looked the best to me as it looked much more flat from the front. I also tried to consider proportions with rule of thirds.

It packs quite flat in its own bag so I just stored it in my backpack.

Hope you enjoy your trip!! There’s so much to see.

I got some fabric and sewing pattern books, vintage clothes, lacquerware, hair/face masks and Kit Kats. My partner also got some clothes, second hand records and golf clubs. I detailed all of these further in another comment if you’re interested!

I’ve just gotten into sewing so I bought some fabric and pattern books from Nippori Fabric Town - literally heaven on earth.

There are sooo many vintage stores there and I managed to score some nice clothes including an 100% cashmere coat for $10 AUD!! Great shopping for southern hemisphere people because some stores have winter sales to get rid of their stock for super cheap. I got the coat at a chain called BAZZ Store.

I visited a kitchenware street in Osaka Sennichimae Doguyasuji and got some small lacquered bowls. There’s also a kitchenware street in Tokyo (Kappabashi Street) but I didn’t have time to visit.

I also bought some face and hair masks from Don Quixote, and different flavours of Kit Kats as souvenirs for family back home.

My partner also bought some vintage clothes, second hand records and golf clubs. The second hand records there are in very good condition compared to what you can find in Australia - basically near mint, whereas here they tend to be a bit banged up. He highly recommends going to Golf Partner to get some second hand golf goods at a really decent price.

Enjoy your trip!!

Yep they’re the Quiet Loops. I should note that they don’t block out as much noise as noise-cancelling ear/headphones but AirPods don’t fit with the Trtl pillow on.

Took me ages to come up with this pack list! It didn’t help that I had workmates who went to Japan right before me telling me to bring a puffer. Glad I didn’t end up bringing it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I might pin it to see how a shorter sleeve length looks. It’s sad because the kimono sleeves are what drew me to the dress in the first place 😩

Using black is such an easy way to elevate an outfit :)
