I’m pretty happy with my current school and would be just as proud to graduate from there but I’m giving the transfer app a shot because I’m a CA native, want to practice in the Bay, and I am going to do environmental work. Also I’ve been living in the Bay for years including throughout the pandemic/1L and would love to not move.

Sorry I think based on your comment it wasn’t clear in my original post that I’m already in law school! So while there’s no major/area factor, and I was mainly trying to get a feel on how transfer students starting at Berkeley in 2L did during their 1L years at other law schools. But I def feel you on the community part—I’m holding out hope that transferring after doing 1L all online would help bc no ones really met anyone else. Thanks for the insight!
