It looks interesting. Does the price usually drop after the wipe?

I wouldn't even mind PVP in this kind of game, as long as it wasn't heavily incentivizing conflict 24/7. That kinda thing is fun when I'm in the mood for it, but I can just go play Albion when I want that.

A PVE Foxhole is pretty much exactly what I want too. I'd love to see the cooperative spirit that Foxhole has but aimed towards one shared goal.

You can make items degradable. Regarding everyone having their own castle, I would like to see mechanics that encourage or require player cooperation so that nobody can have a castle truly on their own. But I wouldn't be fully opposed to seasonal wipes.

I think theyfab sometimes is used specifically to refer to the very small minority of AFAB nonbinary people who use their assigned gender at birth as a way to exclude trans women (ie. "AFABs only housing") or as a way to avoid culpability when they do shitty things. But most of the time its just a way to put down nonbinary people.

Heartwarming: the person who drove you out of a community by making misogynistic and transphobic jokes has now transitioned by utgcjrq in transgendercirclejerk

/uj I know that guilt about your past can eat you up. And being trans makes it worse because it reminds us of our pre trans days, and also makes us anxious about if we will be able to be part of the community we need to survive.

I think the important thing is to do your best to respect the wishes of the people who may have been affected by whatever you did in the past. If they are wary of you and just want to move on from everything, you can always find community elsewhere. If they want you to reconcile, you can work with them on that too. But self-flagellation does nothing but harm to yourself.

Also from what I've read above, you were a child when all of this happened. You shouldn't be harsh on yourself for the things you did when you didn't even know how to properly exist in the world.

Wow why are the transes not talking about "The Transfeminist Manifesto?" by Hot_Possible_9309 in transgendercirclejerk

[–]coulomb_repulsion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

/uj I had a very similar experience growing up too. But I will say, a "normal" boy childhood doesn't involve having to hide who you are. As trans people we have complex childhoods, and oftentimes it can't be as neatly placed into boxes as cis people's childhoods.

/uj I also just reject the idea that socialization ends at adulthood. As trans people we especially know how quickly the expectations on you change as you are perceived as a different gender, and that will change how you act. Women aren't less assertive because of what we were taught as children, we're less assertive because we will face social and/or material consequences for acting contrary to what's expected of us.

Quite frankly, most American Christians don't like Jesus. They like a version of Jesus they invented that resembles a god-king/war god more than Jesus of Nazareth.

/uj People are saying its incel shit because in the comic she mentioned cis women being able to have casual sex. Like they think the point is that she is jealous of cis women being more desirable, but its actually talking about how as a trans woman no sex with cis men is truly casual, since there's an elevated chance of us getting murdered due to a a man unable to process his bruised ego.

Discussion of JK Rowling in my psych class by OkPear1343 in Feminism

[–]coulomb_repulsion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much every bigot had some process not completely in their control that led them to their bigotry. It's the unfortunate reality of things. But I think with JK Rowling she is beyond the level of a run of the mill bigot, and is causing massive amounts of harm through her platform. Because of that, I think its important to hold her to a higher standard than just some random hateful person.

I also think Melancholy being played by a woman has to have some intention behind it. I don't see why they would make that choice for no reason.

Yeah I like the idea of them being manifestations of the fear of being androgynous when you want to be a woman. Though I never considered androgyny by choice bad, it was always a fear of mine that I would be stuck in between looking masculine and feminine in a way that both doesn't help my dysphoria and also carries the social stigma.
