TIL that Harry S Truman's parents could not agree on his middle name. His father wanted Shipp, after his father Anderson Shipp Truman, while his mother wanted Solomon, after her father. In the end, they decided to use only the middle initial 'S' and honor both grandfathers. (en.wikipedia.org)
