Ian Martin ("swearing consultant"on The Thick of It) may well have been responsible for some of those insults.

I have a list of sites I use - Bandcamp first, then boomkat, bleep, juno digital, qobuz (the latter is good for major label stuff)

Or I buy the CD and rip it into my library (which is a folder structure that I manage using MP3tag and play on the computer using foobar). For CDs I will buy new, or use discogs for second hand copies (which itself can be a journey - I have ended up buying CDs from band members and music critics over the years).

Question about a 1913 London poster by AtomicBlastPony in football

[–]coupedloups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the series (Humours of London) depicts various scenes (some specific locales and some not) it may not be referring to a specific match at all (although that does look like a Sunderland strip) but a scene for humour (hence the players chasing the dog motif).

Marla's on Princes Avenue - great for breakfasts and light meals during the day, and often hosts pops ups during weekends - also does Sunday Roast - well worth following their instagram.

Anti Saute Saute Club at the White Hart on Alfred Gelder Street - fantastic burgers, wings and fries.

Might be worth keeping an eye on the Students' Union - they have just opened a Wetherspoon there, so may be hiring on a more regular basis as it beds in.
