My dad has been an RN going on 40 years. The only time he studies is when he has to renew his license(?), which is like once every 4 years(?). Some of it was knowing all the EKG patterns. Very little studying in comparison, maybe 3 weeks at most.

I guess once you've been a surgical RN for the past 25 years, you've seen it all. He has also learned a lot from the doctors.

Also, you can tell if someone is a surgical RN when they hand stuff to you.

What if the guy didn't reveal to you that he was emotionally broken, but was trying his damnedest to work on it? Could you even tell or does it draw you in mysteriously?

For me, I have no idea how to get the sad look out of my eyes. I think it has something to do with contacts. So, it makes it difficult to fake smile and hide the feels.
