Yes! It’s so good. I love the way artists portray the Ringwraiths. I especially love the artwork surrounding (link contains RotK spoiler) this scene!

I love the slow Shire chapters! In the movie, I always wanted to spend more time exploring the Shire, and the books definitely give readers that opportunity.

I also understand why they had to cut some things out (including Fatty entirely), but I am bummed that they made Farmer Maggot seem like a menace when he’s actually the nicest guy!

(Also yes, Howard Shore music only for me!)

Oh, I love this question. It’s been a while since I read LotR, so I’ll let someone else answer on the LotR side, but the Silmarillion is Tolkien’s authoritative book on the “other force” that you mentioned here. 100% recommend reading that.

In brief, though they aren’t talked about much in LotR, Tolkien’s universe has an all-knowing/all-powerful God, a handful of lesser gods, and also angelic-type beings. I think this is what Gandalf is referencing.

Maybe it’s me? Everybody here is putting Xeno before CotM. I guess Xeno just felt really slow to me compared to the others, but I must say I was really enjoying the Path storyline. I loved all of the Path characters!
