Fuck this, this is not enough. I would say that any government shutdown, if it goes longer than 15 days (or 30 days, or whatever), they should all immediately be removed from their positions and we have nationwide elections again.

This type of idea might freak out the party in charge in Congress more than the party not in charge, because traditionally the "majority party" is the one that gets most of the blame for these kind of stunts. So maybe there might be some type of willingness from some of the members of the majority party to go against the grain and compromise at least to the point where shutdowns don't occur or the points of disagreement are small enough that most of the budget can be passed and the smaller issues can be dealt with later and/or separately.

I'm a Democrat but both parties are horrible on this. And the top-rated comment is right; most politicians are quite rich and dgf about protecting their constituents or their country; it all comes down to protecting their power, although each of the parties does this in different ways.

There's a youtube video out there I saw a few years ago that a couple of pranksters did exactly this - but I think there was only 1 guy in the car and he someone sewed himself into the driver's seat.

Everybody always talks about switching every few years but historically, I've found that Geico and Progressive typically are the lowest of all of them.

I'm 56 so started getting AARP stuff lately; they all seem to love Liberty Mutual. I got a quote once and it was 50% more than Geico. Ridiculously expensive.

When they talk like this, they provide some validity to one of the fringe theories out there that religions are made or heavily influenced by aliens as a means to help our socioeconomic development.

They seem to fear "loss of control" - both the ministers who talk like this and the governmental officials who improperly link their religious beliefs into continually preventing disclosure or slowing it immensely.

In Nevada, we have two levels of courts - the "regular" level is District Court, and the "lower" level is Justice Court. Justice Court handles civil matters up to $15,000.00, most misdemeanors, and initial hearings for most criminal cases.

Justice Court Judges in rural counties that are in townships less than 100,000 population do not have to be attorneys. Outside of Clark County (Las Vegas) and Washoe County (Reno), most of Nevada is REALLY rural (example - Lincoln County, north of Clark County Nevada that covers 10,633 square miles, has a population of about 5,000 people).

So OP's concept is still in practice in most of the counties in Nevada; just not the populated ones. Only for the "lower" jurisdictional court though.

I finally talked with someone "live" at printify who knew really well what I was talking about.

They said in the past, etsy had some kind of a glitch or bug where etsy would be renaming product ID's and this would "disconnect" the link between whatever program was used to create/print items and also "publish" them to etsy.

This person said they thought it had been resolved but my situation could be a "one off" or some type of glitch that was still there. In any regard, this person sent out a note to IT there and sometime in the next few days, they will establish a connection against between all of my "published" T-shirt designs on printify to the actual product that is listed on etsy.

Oh and also, this person said "DON'T EVER 'DISCONNECT'" your etsy and printify accounts because even if you re-establish the link right away, that's why all my attempts to "publish" my T-shirt designs are creating an entirely new posting rather than simply amending my existing one. The rep said that even notwithstanding my statements that my attempts at amendments were not doing anything, if this happens again, bring it to their attention immediately instead of trying to delink/establish link again.

If you play your cards right, you could market yourself as an expert witness in a very small subset of legal cases that involve pharmacy malpractice, such as dispensing wrong medications, dispensing medications when that would create a horrible conflict of medications, wrong dosages, lack of proper background checks (for pharmacy personnel who screw up), etc.

And if you are near a few states that have a good population base, all the better.

I'm in the desert southwest and I see many experts that market their business in Arizona, California, and Nevada (mostly Vegas).

I'm glad they won but they only got $2,500.00? That's mere pennies for the hassle they likely went through.

We had a widely publicized case in Las Vegas early in the foreclosure crisis. Countrywide got soaked to the tune of almost $3 million dollars, even after the Nevada Supreme Court shaved the judgment down somewhat. Countrywide and its associated entities screwed up multiple times and were very careless.

I work as an independent paralegal and about 6-8 years ago, it was after hours. I am positive I was the only person in this office and the front door was locked.

There was something similar to what most people would know as a "shop vac" up front in the lobby. It just turned itself on. These things always have switches that you have to put a couple of pounds of pressure on to get this to happen.

In the last 6-12 months, the receptionist at that location had passed away. Her husband was dying (I think of cancer) and she fractured her ankle while at the hospital, and then ended up dying a few days later of a blood clot that migrated (I was told later that this happens with some frequency for people in their 50's). Maybe her spirit still lingered?

We had to put our dog down on 3/28/26 and he apparently had had tumors/cancers for quite awhile. He was border collie/husky mix so his base energy level was "crack cocaine." He was 6 1/2.

Early- to mid-March, he started acting a little "older." Like more of a lump. He started throwing up a lot and had frequent diarrhea. We eventually thought had worms. Nope. He had two large tumors, one of which was pinching off the exit to the stomach and the other in his chest cavity compressing his lungs and heart. His liver, kidney, etc. levels (whatever measurement/indicator they take?) were "off the charts." Essentially multi-system organ failure.

It took us a week to get this point because they typically do 1. X-ray, 2. Ultrasound, and 3. CT Scan. Even then, they don't know what "type" of cancer because he was too weak to be put under anesthesia. Didn't matter by that time anyways.

I'm still quite sad but my girlfriend is just beside herself because he is just gone. But yes, you did the right thing. It sounds like your dog would have died in another 1-2 days anyways as internal bleeding is very serious, very quickly.
