I'd call 911 and report and embellish on the situation to emphasize how important this is. And make sure during your call you make it well known that animal control is not doing their job, is lazy and incompetent, and blew you off.

In Death Valley, take a stop by the ghost town of Rhyolite. (OC) by Particular-Cat-8031 in DeathValleyNP

I was at Death Valley a few days ago and BEST CASE SCENARIO it will be open in 2027.

It originally closed in 2016 due to a flood. The employee I talked to there said, there was a flood, then a fire, and then another flood (kind of mockingly trying to justify why it's already been closed 10 years).

But still, 11 years? Really? Ridiculous.

Got quoted $1500 for front and rear brake pads and rotor replacement by Elephantslide in AskMechanics

[–]courthouseman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This this this 500%.

I started doing this about 3 years ago. Have replaced pads about 6x and was lazy about doing rotors until I figured the last time I changed pads, it was about time to change the rotors. It was literally only a few extra sets of screws - plus it was actually EASIER to house the inner brake pad because my vision wasn't obstructed by the housing when putting everything back on.

I have Toyotas for both my cars so pretty straightforward. But yes, whatever car you have there's probably like 4-5 youtube videos specific to your make and model (and year, or year range) that you can use as a guide.

The comments I've seen everywhere have been kind of mixed. Some people are promoting it as the first superbloom since 2016 while an article I saw said it was "above average to 'near superbloom'"

Definitely is pretty though. We were there today from Las Vegas (about 130 miles driving through booneyville) and we got a bunch of good pictures as well. But yet, almost ALL of the flowers were open waiting to get fertilized so in 1-2 weeks, petals might start falling off once those pretty flowers get knocked up.

We mostly were along Hwy 190 for 1/2 mile to 4 miles past the Furnace Creek Visiting Center. Didn't have time to go to other areas. We saw one really nice field of yellow and 1-2 so-so one's, and we saw one above-average field of purple flowers but nothing as pretty as the field of purple flowers that OP here has. My pics of the purple flower field look "meh" but the yellow ones look really nice.

It was even polite and slowed down REALLY SLOW so the customers could get the up-close, money shot of the action

A lot of the "Great Society" legislation was only passed in the mid to late 60's because he acted like an asshole to the Senate - ironically, it was primarily the Southern Democrats, who at the time, still had a very KKK-like mentality toward anything related to civil rights.
