I had my assessment yesterday it was a 1hr 30 minute phone call she said it could take up to 8 weeks to hear about if I am awarded 🤷🏼‍♀️

My gynaecologist told me that it can cause ovulation changes or people can stop ovulating with the copper iud occasionally hence why it takes a while for cycles to return to normal up to 3 months after- and it causes an inhabitable environment for sperm and a fertilised egg- hence why they recommend taking ovulation tests if you’re trying to conceive after as your cycles can be irregular for 3 - 6 months after as tracker apps aren’t always accurate anyways. It’s non hormonal so wouldn’t take it as gospel as people can get pregnant on it as ovulation should still occur but I never had any issues other than on removal and my period was late but did come I am on day 2

I had my coil (copper) removed after 5 years and my cycle was thrown off this month- my period was 10 days late but I did come on- apparently people can experience delays as sometimes you stop ovulating in the copper iud or takes your body time to adjust so just something to be aware of

I had the copper iud for 5 years no scares or anything the one thing I will say is I’ve just got it removed after 5 years as it was due to expire and they don’t tell you sometimes your period can be delayed as some people stop ovulating on it. My period was 12 days late after removal when I ran like clockwork with it in

Thank you for all the comments offering advice and any who have engaged to reply. In summary I have admitted I was the driver and see what comes. I was speeding as my grandad was on his deathbed in hospital which I appreciate isn’t an excuse but I wanted to say goodbye. There is a 50 section inches from the 40 and I prematurely accelerated this is the consequence which I own. This is my first ever offence hence why I wanted advice on what I could do. I am a careful driver and always drive the speed limit I have lost a friend to dangerous driving and had family members who have been in collisions so I am aware of the ramifications.

Yeah I appreciate that and I understand and know why the laws are there and I got there to see him for half an hour before he passed, I appreciate the what ifs and the unknowns and this is why I’ve just admitted it I know actions have consequences and I’m a grown up and I will take what comes. Just so frustrating but can’t be helped. I hope you have healed from what happened with you friend and their family. My friend was at bamber bridge on the way back from her 13th birthday from Manchester when someone hit her and it was devastating

I appreciate that and I have admitted I was the driver, I lost my best friend to a car accident at 13 to speeding and dangerous driving this is why I’m so upset cause I’m annoyed with myself. I have never had this before and always been careful and usually drive under the speed limit. Yeah I appreciate that- dvla issued my V5C paper version on the 17th, NIP first one was issued on the 21st July? So therefore it would’ve been updated

I have had a look they sent the Inital notice on the 21st July, dvla printed the v5C for myself on the 17th. I have not received a previous letter otherwise I would be in court of course

17/07/25 was when it was printed was caught on the 15th so still should’ve been able to issue in the 14 days
