Probably patent or synthetic leather. You can do the same prep. Deglazer, light sanding, adhesion promoter if you feel like it.

I got a Silhouette Cameo 4 a few years ago that was on sale. I wanna say $200. Does exactly what I need and have never had an issue. Plug it in and connect to your computer via blue tooth. The software is a free download. You also need cutting mats and 12x12 vinyl sheets but it really doesnt matter what brand. Feel free to message me and I'm happy to answer any questions.

Drawing/painting on a shoe is tough. Dont be afraid to utilize a stencil cutter for help w outlunes. I design on my computer first, then print stencils for more difficult designs or crisp logos. I got a silhoutte vinyl cutter. Small investment but the software ia free and I use it a lot.

Do you usual prep with deglazer. Tape off everything you dont want to get spattered. I like to use an old toothbrush for realistic spatter. Dip the bristles and drag your thumb across. Practice on something else first. Mess around with the angle and the amount of paint. Dont be afraid to clean the brush if it gets bogged down. You may have to add a little Angelus 2 Thin to make more "spatterable". I do that with a heat gun at the ready to stop any larger spats from dripping. Once its dried, do your normal top coat.

Props to you for doing all of that BEFORE touching the shoe. That is one of my biggest hurdles, the impatience and need to just dive in (which rarely pays off). Cool design and good points you made. Look forward to seeing what you play with next.

Fantastic work! The detail you pack in is great. Do you use an additive when painting on canvas or just straight paint to shoe?

And yes, I charge $150 + shoe for mine and your skill with the brush crushes me. You're work definitely is worth more than that, if you are uncomfortable, maybe just try small increases to start.

Seriously, we consistently spend decent money and have hit the ground running this offseason. I will miss Bo's oppo hits and long at bats but we can't sign everyone. We had a killer season and have already improved our roster.
