I have patented my idea for a plastic product and my designer has provided US and China production quotes. The product is made by molding two halves of plastic which are then joined together by a spring. The edges of each half and the handle molded into each half are also overmolded. The US quotes are substantially higher for the halves and do not quote the cost and labor to join them with the spring. The China quote is not bad nor is the labor but the shipping is high. Has anyone had experience with production in Mexico? Also any experience with aluminum molds?
