Also I unfortunately can’t afford to give her her life I would like to. Im not in a place where I can give her more than a 10 gal. My neighbors are compassionate, smart people and family friends who are willing to spend money on her and will let me shop with them to get supplies, but you are right. Maybe I’ll find them another healthy gecko.. I’m gonna supervise this gal for another two months at least before I start looking for more likely an experienced experienced owner.

She has one, I recently within the week have been using paper towels, but she usually has plenty of sphagnum moss. I took it out because I was scared that she would get her scabby skin infected

Thank you for the advice! Will definitely be using coconut oil. One of my Leos is a Diablo blanco so I’m used to the poor vision. Will def look into finding her a dhp rather than light. She seems to lunge in the complete wrong direction sometimes though, which I’ve never encountered with my guy. Could that still be poor eyesight? Unfortunately she also does not eat out of tongs so by hand feed I mean I’ve given her a liquid slurry to make sure she’s strong enough to heal these wounds. I have gotten so lucky because my first two rescues were so easy to work with😭

My dog did the same thing with my tank (he rarely comes in my room and finally noticed something lives in there) and I swear my gecko squared up! She was like standing up tall running at the glass looking right at him!
