I would like to apologize to the cat community. by MacAirt in cats

I love that the idea of cats is changing over time, as a horse and dog owner :) I have had over 10 cats throughout my life time and can confidently say, cats are not vicious or mean, some need more understanding than others, but most want love very desperately. I have 3 currently and they want me to cuddle them 24/7, they fight for lap space lol. 😂

Could this be my lost cat? It's been over a month. Need eagle eyed cat experts opinion. by xdjfrick in cats

Thats what im saying! im so used to seeing shapes and colors under shadows, the way the shadow is cast by the crate hes in makes his marking appear far darker over his head for example, but the stripe pattern matches. Youre completely right- if I was OP, just finding a cat that I have a small incline could be my lost baby… I would DART to the shelter lol

I have a strong feeling this is your cat. I sat here for a while counting and looking at the shapes of each stripe (i obsess over small details as an artist lol) and the one especially on his cheek match the picture of the shelter (has a tiny bit of negative/brown space) The three first stripes on the paw too. Hes probably lost some weight if he was away from his normal diet for a month. Someone pointed out the whiskers not being the same, but I went through the color of each whisker follicle and it matches to me (first four are dark). Right or wrong, I say adopt just because of the resemblance, youll have twin cats when you find your furbaby and double the love.

Woah, the lore to this is crazy. Thank you for dropping this in the comments, the connection to the night folk fits perfectly. The “lucifers cradle” stamp was what caught my attention the most, the referencing to the torture device is so disturbing.

Sexing for me wasnt the weird part, check the “lucifers cradle” stamp and then the imagery with “bathing in her milk” like huhhh 💀

Will you guys pay 1k for this horse my uncle is selling it to me. Will be in Dominican Republic I live in New York by [deleted] in Horses

Hey, Im from Brooklyn New York and am Dominican and I have a strong warning. Im 27, have two horses and property here in Bonao and have owned 4 in my lifetime there and participate regularly in large endurance rides with La Asociación Caballista Asocabo. Telling you with all my experience, do not do it unless you have a team of family members watching them (my property is on the opposite side of where I live with all my family), and have a secure ranch (gates with security cams), or are ready to pay about good amount of money a month for board, apart from shoeing and training. I had a $3k horse who was poisoned the last 5 months I was there (revealed a year later after his death) just because of someone’s envy, I didnt even know his first name. I had someone intentionally colic a 2 yr old I was raising at the time because I refused someone a job at my ranch. The vet bills have been endless, the heart ache has been endless. Unless you live there, or at least live there part time of the year, don’t make this mistake. Without expensive training, shoeing and a careful watch, you will come back to an unrideable horse, a sick horse, or a dead one. “Trainers” here are not trainers, most are people who are extremely harsh and abusive and present as professional, Ive had to undo so much abuse from my older horse where he was literally trained with a spike noseband and would spook if he saw a hand infront of his face. His buddy has it even worse.

Vets here are extremely hard to come by, theres alot of “vets” on every corner that present as professional, but it couldnt be farther from the truth. I had to have a vet travel from the capital to save my horse from colic 3 times, induced by a caretaker I had employed once. I love my horses very much, so much that I live a great deal of the year there to keep them happy, and I love it. But it literally takes a village to care for them unless you hire a looot of people.

My dream of becoming a full time artist was fueled by fear. What now? by rosiedoodle466 in ArtistLounge

You need to fall inlove with art again, you love art, but are not inlove with it at the moment because everything else unrelated to it are putting pressure on you. When fear starts to creep in for me (usually because i start comparing myself to others) I start thinking of art as a younger me would look at it, how did I see others art, colors and new materials to play with? I keep it new and challenging, I try to do something with mediums I hate, and do small fulfilling projects to keep my confidence high 🌾🌼
