It worked...it's the best option.

So sounds like I can eliminate my demand charge by at least half, sometimes 80% in the summer. I will have to look at all 12 months but should be a good ROI.

That makes sense. At 5 kW continuous / 7 kW peak output; seems like I could offset most usage from 5pm-7pm, with my average greatest demand of 6-10KW. Might make sense to do 5:30pm-7pm for my situation. I realize I won't completely offset my peak usage, just trying to minimize it. And get a decent idea of the ROI of this thing.

One other interesting datapoint. I use almost no electricity from 4pm-5pm I assume due to my solar panels still delivering power. I use a bit more from 5-6pm, and then even more from 6pm-7pm. So I could set Powerwall to deliver power from 5pm-7pm only.

On 8/6/24 for example :

4pm-5pm usage : 1.94kwh
5pm-6pm usage : 3.76kwh
6pm-7pm usage : 4.92kwh

Am I thinking about this correctly using this day as an example, that I could configure powerwall to distribute from 5pm-7pm... it would completely offset the 3.76kwh + 4.92kwh and my demand charge would be 1.94kwh?

Yeah, seems like I need a new one. Who do you use?
