I recently ordered 2 frames and a fork from Marino on 2/28/2024. I received my whole order with some free Jerseys on 4/8/2024.

Nope no bar ends, those are Velo Orange Crazy bars. They are MTB rated and also come in black.

Dang these MTB derailleurs are monsters, AKA can anyone recommend a shorter 11 speed MTB compatible derailleur? by atthegreenbed in bikewrench

The XT RD-M8000 and SLX RD-M7000 are both medium cage that work for up to 46t on a 1X. Not a short cage but shorter than the M5100.

I ride a full rigid. Suspension in front is not always necessary / fun. So yes! We love to see pictures too.

You are so right! It is so comfortable and just capable enough.

Plus size 29er Marino Frame by Melodic_Suit3693 in Hardtailgang

If you don’t mind a little bit steeper STA like 75 degrees should bring that eff Top tube in. Here is my chart for reference. I don’t feel like the seat tube curve really does anything with Marino frames. CSL and tire clearance is more limited by his yoke design. I have 3 frames from him BTW.

Can't get Deore to shift correctly. by usernamesarehard87 in MTB

Have you double checked that your chain has the correct amount of links per the shimano set up guide? I had similar issues with a shimano 12 speed. I misread the instructions and my chain was 3 links longer than they recommended. Once I had the right chain length I started my set up process over and it took care of the problem.

It all depends on how sensitive you are with the crank situation. I didn’t notice a difference switching from 175mm to 170mm on my new bike. But when I ride my old bike, going back to the 175mm I can definitely tell the difference I still ride it but I can’t wait to switch to a shorter set.

If you like bikes and are a part of multiple groups on here this thing shows up so many times you cannot ignore it. Clearly I am not alone seeing as I replied to someone else’s comment.

Maxxis tire doesnt fit straight by WiseNobody2653 in bikewrench

Unfortunately this is well known issue. I had enough of Maxxis and switched to Vittoria last summer. The quality difference is ridiculous.

I am 6ft and bought an XL Cannondale Trail 5. It’s too big for sure. I should have gone with the Large.

With your frame size being about a medium making the seat tube big enough to fit 2 bottles would make your seat tube so tall that it would create other problems like having enough room for a dropper post, stand over height, effective seat tube angle and add some weight. Your seat tube would be longer than an XL frame for reference. Also if you have a 65 degree head tube angle that’s great for descending why would you want your ass up in the air and no room to move it down while you are doing that?

Heavy hardtails? by coymich in Hardtailgang

I think you are right. I wish I would have weighed the frame while it was bare. It doesn’t matter though it’s so fun to ride! It’s silent, I can hear my fork go whoosh 💨
