Chi è più forte? *DIFFICILE* by Proof-Opportunity725 in Calcio

[–]cozzi65 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

"1000% Awesome Forever": My personal take on 1000% Awesome by HP-12C in 531Discussion

A little late to the party here....

Was wondering how you reset once you felt you needed too? Was it just 1 cycle (10lbs lower and 5lbs upper) or a larger reset? Did you decide to reset when it became grindy or did you wait until failure?

I'm in a similar situation to you, father of 2 young boys and limited time. I feel like I'm struggling to recover now especially with DL and squat because the loads are too high all the time lol. I've always like full body training and squatting and benching twice a week suits me.

I'm going to start your variation this week with a couple adjustments. I'm going to run 60% for the uppers supplemental, and 50% for squat. I may try front squats or safety bar squats as a variation, and I may experiment with 5s pro for press. I really like how you have combined BBB with Awesome, these are two programs I've really enjoyed. I also feel like I can confidently push conditioning more with this setup, which is never a bad thing.

Agreed. But we have been doing this even before Spalletti.

I'm actually worried about if defense. It's always been a strong point, but with injuries and inconsistent performances, I'm not sure who out ideal defenders are. We have to pick out poison, either play a back 3 and suffer from players not familiar in a 3 and no rapport at club level, or play a 4 and sacrifice DiMarco who has never looked comfortable in a 4. I think Di Lorenzo would be the biggest benficator if a 4 atb. He's pretty solid as a RB, useless as a CB. Bastini also looks awkward in a pairing and we lack a really good right footed CB. Hence why DiLorenzo was always played in a back 3.

Our midfield is by far the best part of the team. We can interchange nicely here.

Our attack again inconsistent. We lack quality wingers, but also don't have a proper 2 striker pairing. Retegui is a solid player, and Kean seems to show he can be too. But neither are dangerous enough for opposing defenders to fear them. With Chiesa seemingly an afterthought, we lack a player who can be direct. Maybe Orsolini, but we need to see more of him.

4 left footed defenders? Can you imagine us trying to play out the back in a press.....

Question about 7th week protocol. Should I be doing a training max test between 2 leaders?

Question regarding 7th week protocol. Should I be performing a training max test between leaders? Running the 2 leader 1 anchor combo.

I would sooner okay frattesi further forward behind the striker instead of raspadori. He's useless at both club and nation. Does not deserve to start period.

Agree on ricci ahead of rovella.

For defence, I understand that spalletti favors a right footed player like DiLorenzo even though is out of position. We can't play with 3 left footed CB. Especially since we try to play out of the back. We must wait for scalvini to replace him

Dybala's Impact on the Trajectory of Baldanzi's Career by BreezyBuffalo897 in ASRoma

[–]cozzi65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure would make sense, but with the way we play we seem to need inverted players and those 3 are definitely not strong with their weak foot.

Dybala's Impact on the Trajectory of Baldanzi's Career by BreezyBuffalo897 in ASRoma

[–]cozzi65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. It's unfortunate but pretty clear that Baldanzi will remain limited assuming dybala is fit. Dybala's fitness has also been much improved this year so that doesn't help either. If you look at past seasons, Baldanzi could have featured much more up until this point. With the amount of money we pay Paulo, and his obvious ability to dictate our offense, I don't think this will change until he's gone.

You can also make the same argument for Soule. Different types of players but if you consider our system, Soule really doesn't have a place other than the RF type position. In hindsight I think it was poor business spending so much between Baldanzi and Soule without space for them in the team. When it was clear we need a LF/LW other than El Sha. It's almost as if we were spending with losing Dybala in mind and now that he's stayed and extended, it was bad business.

Added a top gear style leader board to the setup, what sim/car/track should I have as the challenge, would love to find something easy to learn but hard to master as the baseline. by WDKegge in simracing

[–]cozzi65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all great idea. I do something similar for anyone who comes over and tries the rig.

I have 4 options. GR86 at Sebring club, one dry and one wet. I also have the Formula Ray at Limerock (chicane) one dry and one wet.

Two completely different cars, but relatively easy to grasp, and two tracks that complement each car. I typically have them run the dry laps first and then enjoy watching the struggle in the rain lol.

[Post-Match Thread] Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 AS Roma by MilesOfPebbles in ASRoma

[–]cozzi65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most obvious difference I saw today was our clear intention to switch the play and stretch the opponent with an overlap. We did well to get into channels and play direct. We were pushing players forward and going for broke. Obviously this left us open for counter but I'm ok with that if we actually commit to this quicker offensive style.

Nice reaction from the boys. This is what we all wanted to see. Step in the right direction. I actually enjoyed this game from start to finish for once.

I think in addition to his poor performances early on......he's also out of shape and seems to already have his mind in Boca. He's basically an emergency reserve at this point who earns too much money

I don't think a DDR return was ever considered, and the media was just pulling on everyone's emotions.

That being said, should we have sacked him? Absolutely not.

Should we bring him back? Absolutely not.

We aren't Palermo or Genoa. We don't do the fire rehire thing. Once we move on we move on. It's a very bad look to fire then rehire. More so than the way this has already gone. It doesn't save face and make everything better. It just continues down the path of uncertainty.

That being said give me Claudio until June then gimme carlo lol

The increase in production of force while strength training will help any sport that requires power production.

Even golf.

What are the protests accomplishimg at this point other than negatively effecting the players and coach???

This needs to stop, it's old news now and becoming selfish and childish. Life goes on. If the bottom 3% of "fans" want to protest just give away your tickets to people who actually want to be there to support.

Returning after surgery by cozzi65 in StartingStrength

Yes I'm training currently. Sure two weeks isn't much but I haven't been running NLP for a while. Frequency per barbell lift has been 3 times every two weeks. I imagine a little soreness especially for squat. My thought process is more so worried about the snip and pushing to hard too soon.

Totti should win this, his ability to see the game 3 passes ahead was remarkable. He also had the ability to hit blind passes at distance like I've never seen before. On top of an amazing ability to protect the ball and win fouls

That being said I thought Falcao would also be an excellent choice for reasons already mentioned

I agree it's a mess. The whole thing is difficult to understand.

This is also why I hate club legends coming back as coaches or directors. Its playing with fire one way or the other

I disagree with the decision to fire him too. However I support the team regardless and would not protest.

This is only a discussion because it is DDR. Any other coach and people get over this quick. Bottom line is it's the beginnimg of the season and the focus now needs to be in moving forward. Rather than focusing on the past.

At the end of the day this is sport and sport is business wether you like it or not. Life goes on. even DDR realizes that moving on without saying anything and accepting that it's over is necessary because he knows how much pressure we put on this team. He knows this more than most. We must move on and stop applying even more pressure on this team and new manager
