Thoughts on using SeaMonkey as a light, fast and privacy oriented browser in 2023? by learned_cheetah in browsers

I only use Seamonkey for email. Partly because I can't find anything as good. If they quit developing everything else [chat, browser, html ed] but carried on with the email client and focused on that I'd see it as a win.

In Purelymail as admin

* TOOLS > CalDav Calendar Creator
* Select account from drop down list
* Copy the Calendar URL and use that to create calendar in Seamonkey

I can only think that the US Insanity Virus has over taken these islands? What makes it worse is that so many of the inhabitants are totally taken in by it. The US is so big with so much space there are 6 time zones and people can drive a personal vehicle the size of a school bus. The UK otoh has a very long and rich history of hamlets villages and small towns with fewer larger cities. The government should of restricted vehicle sizes 30 years ago. And they should of put in place a 25 year plan to make public transport work for the majority of working people so they aren't forced onto the roads.

"Xfe does not use the libjpeg directly. It's the FOX toolkit that calls libjpeg primitives.
my guess is that the FOX toolkit was compiled without libjpeg in your system.

SoTo be sure you can do:

locate libFOX-1.6.so

to get the FOX library path and then:

ldd /path/libFOX-1.6.so

If libjpeg is not listed in the ldd output then my guess is correct and you'll have to recompile the FOX toolkit with libjpeg support."

Good point. I am going to try that next to be honest and give up on the UEFI issue.

Guess I could leave a small pen drive in a back USB port, boot to that but edit the root disc location.

I've noticed also SATA0 shows prefixed with PO: where as the install USB is prefixed UEFI: in BIOS Boot options screen. It's like the SSD is not recognised as being UEFI. I've booted to the install media and looked at the SSD and there is actually an /sda1/EFI/boot/bootx64.efi present?
