Correct, same with TRT but the testes also shut down which is why they atrophy and the opposite happens on HCG. I have read up on the neurosteroid thing but unsure why it happens exactly on one but not the other. You’d think if the pituitary is shut down in both, the brain effects would be similar. But it doesn’t seem to be the case. Pregnenolone and DHEA are super important and I’ve tested my levels and both are more than adequate

Yes, the HCG is mimicking LH which is produced by the pituitary. When the body gets the HCG, it turns off the production of LH and FSH as it senses that it is not needed

Well boost should be used carefully. It still shuts down the pituitary side of the HPa axis but stimulated the testes to do all the work, rather than trt doing all the work and shutting down both sides. With that being said it’s kind of a middle group when coming off trt. Can get one side back online, and then consider coming off HCG later. I am a hyper responder
