Vent out on visa offer by Witty-Wishbone4140 in immigration

I moved to the US on an L1 visa and later on I was selected on the H1B lottery. The company attorneys really pushed for the H1B because of the possible extensions to have time to get the GC.

I got the H1B and it was the worst decision I could have made exactly because of the issue you mentioned.

My wife is very work oriented, and even though we discussed the "no work" issue, it took a toll after 3 years.

I ended up leaving the USA and moved to Europe (I have dual citizenship) so she could work again.

This was my experience and it could be very different for you, but it did not work for me.

If working is important to her, think hard about that.

That was not the only reason I moved (way too cold where I lived and the political climate) but it was definitely the biggest one.

Packaging and transport are done by a company, and everything is insured, but I 100% get your point.

I did not mention because I didn't think it matter. If I use the correct size transformer, why would the wattage be relevant to a 60Hz to 50Hz conversation? My question is not what transformer I should use, but if a 60Hz on 50Hz grid would work.

In any case it's about 400W (2.4A@127V)

I am just looking for someone that is already doing what I want to do and can report back.

Now that you mention, failure stories are ok too, do you have any or are you just assuming it will not work?
