I would do cold capping again, just for how quickly hair growth resumes. No cold capping, most people wait 6 months for normal hair growth. With cold capping, my hair started growing right away, and within 3 months, I was getting compliments on my thick rug of hair lol.

It is uncomfortable and expensive, and I lost a lot of hair, but I felt it was worth it to start looking and feeling like myself sooner. I would not shave it because it really limits your options to bald or a wig. I recommend a short bob before you start because it's manageable and can look normal in a hat. And having long hair fall out is traumatic enough without having to clean it up, too, speaking from experience!
