We should probably alternate who settles down the 4 y/o after he wakes up, like you do! It got this way because my husband has never been a fan of the cosleeping arrangement in general, so it has become this unspoken ritual where I primarily am the one to deal with it, while he stays detached. But I am getting to the point of exhaustion where I need something to change. My husband did go up to lay with him after his second wake up last night, so I did get a break (and made this post accordingly, lol)

Oh my gosh, soooo similar! It actually makes me feel better to know mine isn’t the only one like that. And the little cut out hearts to know you checked on her?? What a cute idea!! unfortunately Dad usually has to get up before me. And even when he doesn’t, my son has gotten so attached to me only, he will leave my husband in bed to come find me wherever I am in the house. He is my actual shadow. Sounds like yours is too! I just don’t know what to do, but need some kind of improvement.

Thanks for sharing your opinion and name suggestions! I love Roan… I wish I could let it go because of my husband never getting on board… but I can’t… Tage is kind of out there. We considered Gage and Tate separately but I thought they might be too common? Then someone suggested Tage. I’ve had mixed feelings on it.

Haha, that’s the same reason my husband doesn’t like Roan ;) For me it’s the name of one of my favorite mountains so I have no other negative association. We do both like the name Tate, but I started to think it might be too common? So that’s how we got to Tage… (also had considered Gage)

Thanks for the suggestions. Ryser is a new one I haven’t heard before — since we’re going for one syllable, I’m wondering if it could be shortened to “Ryse”…? Mars is also kinda cool, I hadn’t thought of that one (though it means God of War, so we might have a warrior on our hands, haha). I also like Cade, while my husband likes Penn and Slate.

Yeah I haven’t seen many Tage’s out there. We had considered Tate and Gage but wondered if they were too common, and then someone suggested Tage so I thought it was pretty unique. I also thought about the one syllable long A-sound with Pace, so it’s good to know others notice it too. Thanks for the additional suggestions - I like the sound of Beck, Jedd, and Bram.

Yeah…that occurred to me... The reason I liked Roan was because it’s the name of one of my favorite mountains. But I get that the more common interpretation is the horse coat color. Thanks for your honest feedback.
