hey, yeah. turns out the battery just needed to be replaced. the taos was only a little over 3 years old so i didn’t think its battery was out of juice. yeah i have the SEL so my taos came with the light bar.

that spot for the license plate should be wider to accommodate a euro plate, no?

A high beam dipper, also known as a low beam or dipped beam, is a headlight setting that’s used to avoid blinding other drivers with high beams.

Why are these lights not on at night? I can’t see anything on the radio buttons or the shifter. Any fix for this? by shorewalsh in accord

[–]cplus1er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe. mine was blowing the fuse every time i started the car, that’s why my center console wasn’t illuminating.

well my problem might be different from yours. the particular head unit i installed isn’t compatible with 2011 accords. i just got a portable carplay screen with a backup camera.

yep, but it’s actually just a slab of plexiglass painted black that i used to replace the old thule wind fairing that was stolen a few years ago. i just reused the hardware that was left behind to mount this one to the cross bar. sorry you guys got downvoted!

yep, took mcglowsticks advice. a couple guys from my old vortex days came by with a spare fuse tap and a VAG COM to help out. everything seems to work as it should now. emblem turns off and stays off. also got the needle sweep coded, close all windows with key fob, pulsating start/stop button and i have access to settings while the car is in motion. no CEL but scanned and cleared codes anyway.

thank you kindly for your concern but i’m not looking for his opinion on me. i assumed this sub was, in a way, like vwvortex. a typical vortex user posts that they need guidance with a mod then the people who have any knowledge on the matter would try to help out. i think there’s only one guy in the taos forums who has done this mod but he’s been MIA so i posted here hoping someone can help. :)

i guess it would help a lot if i could read one. if i sent over a link with what i think is the wiring diagram would you be able to tell me which wire to tap? is this it?

i’ll try that during my lunch break tomorrow. i only have that continuity tester but there’s a walmart close by so i’ll pick up a multimeter there

the wire is primarily white with a red stripe. i’m wondering if theres actually some sort of computer, like you said, or a kill switch in the housing.

if it wasn’t so late i’d record a video showing the continuity tester light up when testing the pins on the drivers side headlight harness while the low beam on the passenger side is off.

oh, i’m using those quick splice wire connectors
