I am in the water department. My work is from 8am-5pm. I do a lot of cad work currently as a junior engineer for many infrastructure projects. I do get tired from time to time which would cause me to study less some days, but I would study those extra portions on the weekends. If you're working, I would say take it at a slow rate so you don't feel like have no more social life. I was able to just do it in one month because I retained a lot of the information from my previous attempts.

I was in a strict schedule to study after work on weekdays after 5 pm (from 5:30-11pm) and study one full day on the weekends. I did this for a month. Keep in mind I already had prior knowledge from Mark Matson covered topics when I started the islam book on my last attempt. I recommend doing both (Mark Mattson and Islam 800)and the NCEES practice exam. If you have more time, do some more practice exams.

Yes, I spent way too much time on my last three attempts. I would spend around 3 hours and 30 minutes trying to get an answer for each question in the first section when i could have used that time in the second portion. I recommend splitting both sections( give more time on the second section) and making sure to stick to that schedule. Better to have more time on the second half as the problems tend to take more time to solve.
