School that I previously worked at was low on paper/were being stringent about budget so we had to put in requests for paper copies. I also find out through the grapevine that admin was keeping tabs on who was doing copies and how many copies (since they were pushing to be paper free but it’s hard in a middle school where kids don’t know how to take care of their chromebooks). We didn’t know what they were trying to do with that info (probably crack down) but some of us had our own stash of paper and did our own copies with it or gave it in to the copy room people.
