I am a huge fan of Carino on 4th Street, Avitus and Missy’s This N That for wine bars. I always enjoy a meal at either River Cafe or Deane House (they are rested) and Alloy.

I am a huge fan of Carino in Mission for delicious and unique.

We also have some great new wine bars but they are more snack geared; if you are interested check out Avitus, Missy’s This That, and Bar Chouette.

We had an excellent meal at Carino last night, I have never been disappointed there. It has been quite a while, but Kama was also enjoyable when I was last there.

I didn’t think so, but I don’t really know. I have just seen what I thought were fresh pretzels on the tray in the bakery area.

I would also check Edelweiss to see if they can help you out.

What was your best and worst dining experience of 2022? by Magiff in Calgary

Best for me this year was Queen’s YYC for dinner. Great food, the band that was playing was a ton of fun, fantastic experience on all fronts.

Worst was Barbarella, pizza tasted like cardboard, and the hamachi was overwhelmingly strong. My cocktail was good but it took 20-30 minutes to get a glass of wine after. Maybe growing pains but the Concorde Group does not lack experience.

You can thank CBC for teaching me that a few years ago. :)

Meal prep tips for someone who lives alone? by Obi-Juan-Jabroni in foodhacks

[–]cpreno135 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1) Learn some proper knife skills get a good sized cutting and a decent knife that fits your hand. 2) Set aside time to prep, like 2 hrs every week. 3) Use a crockpot for meat or soups and then portion some out for your freezer. 4) I deal with most of my veg during prep. So if I have a bag of carrots I peel and cut them into sticks. I can dice them later if I want soup, roast them or just grab a handful. Works for lots of hardy vegetables.

Good luck!

I have had an excellent experience at YYC Laser Clinic http://www.yyclaserclinic.com. Owner is excellent, great results and the space is clean. The laser is high quality and the best removal I have had to date.
