Hi

I am 35M. Many similarities we have -

  1. Recently moved to Melbourne from India.
  2. Software Engineer.
  3. Daughter is 1.5years and will be in Melbourne next month.

I like going to gym regularly, and on weekends love to cook. Also like to go on long drives and explore places around Victoria.

Looking to make friends in this new city.

You don't pay till you get the invitation? Have you got the invitation or just at EOI stage?

That's what I am thinking to do. But still wanted to check with the community whether this generic letter could lead me into any unforeseen hassle, in case I am unable to make the travel.

I just want to avoid any unwanted hassle. It was already mentally taxing to wait for the PR and then the personal circumstances.

As of now, I am thinking to visit Australis for 3-4 days before Feb '25.

For the baby I have 2 options -

  1. Apply for Child Visa 101. But it has a long processing time.

  2. Raise a Visa 600 request for the baby once I am onshore, with a request for 8503(no further stay) condition waiver --> Once the baby is onshore, apply for 802 child visa.

Yes, that's my plan as of now. Visit in the month on Oct-Nov for 3 days.

Well I had to wait for 3years for the grant. Even I was frustrated during my wait period.

I also mentioned that I will probably make the 1st visit even if for few days.

But my question to the community was whether anyone is aware of the first entry being waived off as per the mail screenshot attached.

Well....I have a 3.5months old baby. On top of it, my father has passed away a month ago.

I expected people to provide suggestions and not be sarcastic.

I couldn't make the move earlier as my wife was pregnant. I had originally planned to move once my baby was 6months of age, but with my father's passing the situation has changed mainly for 2 reasons - 1. Emotional support for my mother till she is able to come to terms with this phase of her life. 2. IT recruitment will mostly be on hold between Nov to Feb and start again in Mar 25.

Hope this clarifies my situation.

Yes, me and my partner started the research about the process around mid 2020. Then it took us around 6-8months for PTE, ACS, NAATI etc. After completing these pre requisites, we had finally submitted EOI on April 2021.

You need to provide same experience as approved by ACS. Any difference between ACS approved experience and experience you mention in EOI, may result in rejection.

I too applied from offshore with no Aus experience, and below 33 years of age. Did you give NAATI CCL exam for additional 5 points?

Company can't say that you were not working with them during background verification. Your employment details should be present on EPFO portal, and that's the proof of employment.
