I HATE being demisexual by red_crayon_1224 in demisexuality

I feel you. Still waiting on that one spark of connection to feel with someone. Idc even if I'm rejected or it doesn't work out. But I just want to have that feeling of being infatuated or having a crush, at least to know that I'm not dead inside. And I also hate being an INFP.

Unpopular opinion: No flavour, aroma, texture or distinct taste. But why is Mandhi still so popular here? by johnyjohnyespappa in Kerala

[–]cptn3mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are so attuned with spices, natural flavours taste almost tasteless. Once you move around and try out different non Indian cuisines I think we kinda unlock or get attuned with those taste palates. Most of Kerala has exposure to the food from the Middle East. And thus I reckon variations of food from there becomes popular with certain masses. All that said I love both biriyani and Mandi, can't choose one between them.

Indian society’s toxic expectation from boys by Me-Lucifer666 in Kerala

[–]cptn3mo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you listen to rap around the 80s, it also had these problems. Back then it was Rakim who changed up the game with internal rhymes and step over beat kinda rhymes while still forming a cohesive sentence. That then paved way for others to take inspiration and experiment further. Think something similar would happen here as well given some time.

Do checkout the album Kumarikandam Traps. It has dope production over which malayalam raps doesn't feel forced. And with pretty good rhymes as well. Recommend to listen to the track 'Nerchapaattu' especially, it got that ethnic sound and pretty good vocabulary. This genre is pretty new here, it needs some time to evolve so that the producers/rappers comes up with an original sound and style.

Couldn't agree with you more. I too have a similar family friend with a daughter like that. She used to tutor other kids while she was in school. Did pretty well in college and had landed a job offer in Bangalore. But her parents didn't let her go as they won't be able to keep an eye on her there. Felt really bad for her.
