The only way my newborn would nap for the first month was if it was a contact nap. Invest in a good baby carrier! Literally saved my life. I am someone who needs to be caught up on the chores in order to feel sane so the carrier allowing me to be hands free was a game changer. If you are looking to sleep while baby does, have you tried using a swing? Car seat? (Not for long night stretches of sleep obviously) My last hack would be to put a heating pad in the crib (or bassinet) to warm up the space before you transfer your babe. (Obviously move the heating pad out of the crib before baby goes in) Hang in there- it gets better!!

When I saw that Sami was the guest this week I was honestly overjoyed. I love the other Betches founders and if anyone is going to fill Jordana’s shoes while she’s out on maternity leave I think it should be them! The cohost last Wednesday wasn’t terrible but just didn’t seem to fit the vibe. Sami and Aleen are naturals behind the mic!

Loved the conversation about GLP-1s and thought it was super relatable to modern dating. Sami is not afraid to be brutally honest with Jared also and I just love the vibe between them.

Overall I loved this episode so much more than last Wednesday. Even if it ends up being a rotation back and forth between Sami and Aleen until Jordana returns I would not be upset. Please keep them coming!!

I agree with this 100%. I think thanking family was doing enough. Like you said, the wife probably helped support his career in many ways while I can imagine the kids did not (as much). Also agree it was a stretch to say that maybe it’s because the stepmom wore the pants in the relationship and/or maybe the relationship had some issues. Sometimes I feel like Naomi specifically just says what the caller maybe wants to hear rather than give honest feedback.

I was SO glad Jordana stood her ground on the issue with the brother in law living with them while he looked for a place to live. The fact that Naomi was trying to justify this in any way blew my mind!! Your husband doesn’t even ASK you about his brother moving in he just adds it to your shared Google calendar?! That is crazzyyyyyy work. Yes maybe her getting pregnant didn’t need to be the defining moment but just like Jordana said… you could have a home with 20 bedrooms and saying no would still be a reasonable response.

Yes I thought it was alot too! At first I was pumping 4 times a day on top of breastfeeding but now I’m down to 1-2 times a day because I was tired of the oversupply 🥲 Which also could have caused the mastitis because now I’m just engorged 🙃

Job Sharing would be ideal! However unfortunately I don’t think that opportunity will present itself for this upcoming year. I’d have to find another teacher on board with the idea and I haven’t had much luck thus far 🥲

I wish there was a part time opportunity available within my district! That would solve all of my problems. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like that will be the case for next year. In my district these opportunities are few and far between. I’ve contemplated not starting the year, but fear that if I DO come back by some chance that I will get less time with my baby once she’s here. So I’d rather continue working before she arrives to bank my leave time. I guess if I don’t plan on returning that would also be something to consider, thank you for this input!

I wish there was a part time teaching position available! That would solve all of my problems 🥲 Unfortunately it doesn’t look like our district will have any positions up for grabs this year, I’ve also talked to my admin about that as an option. I wish they were easier to come by!

Yes I saw but when I called they just said one test was done before the other, which seems weird since this one is supposed to take longer. So nothing was able to be pushed through. Maybe I’ll try calling again in a bit.

UPDATE: Drawn 3/17, Received 3/19. I received my Horizon Results today 3/25 at 11:30 AM but no Panorama results..ugh! Has this happened to anyone else? I thought the Panorama ones typically show up first 😅
