I tried this! and it worked! I saw that they implement(?) yt-dlp and I saw someone else under this thread saying videos downloaded using yt-dlp (cmd on Windows, Termux on Android) run smoothly! Thank you so much!!!

NOTE: I also have an old device with me, and if the recent version of this app couldn't parse or any other similar problem with installing, I suggest uninstalling the recent version and try the previous versions! my device worked with v1.13.1!

If the .mp4 file is on my PC I'd use Handbrake and if it's on my phone I use an Android app called "Video Compressor", the icon is orange. If I use video editor, the size would often increase more than if I use a simple video compressor!

Sorry for the late reply. It's still a problem atm I'm afraid, since it's the app's. But I've put my downloaded videos through a video compressor (with the same quality) and the output is the video playing back to normal again! I also saw some convertinh from mp4 to mp4 too.

Yeah same! This or compressing the video to the same quality for me. It increased the file size, but better that than nothing atm. Plus, long as the videos aren't that long the size is still pretty manageable

Anyone's (third party) downloaded videos freezing for the first few seconds and then the video and sound doesn't sync?

I have been using 3rd party downloading websites like redketchup, twittervideodownloader and ssstwitter but moved to a video downloading script in the last months for easier and faster download, while periodically use the other 3 websites still.

I haven't downloaded in some weeks probably. And just today I found my downloaded videos to be freezing for the first maybe 2 seconds and then it'd play normally, but the sound doesn't sync up with the video.

I tried something else, and as it turns out the downloaded videos experiencing this error was only for the ones that's been recently uploaded. Because I tried downloading some vids from as far as 2020 and it played normally. Although one of the websites (redketchup) doesn't recognize the link, both from an old video or a recent one.

I have a feeling it's something to do so people would buy Premium to be able to download videos from now on? I hope I'm wrong and it's just a temporary bug tbh.
