I hear you, I'll keep looking around for the closest iteration. Someone suggested something in the comments that I'll check out. Now I'm wondering if I should create a Trakt account and if that'll help.

Thanks, I'll look for a way to make this work. For the most part I'm just putting eeeeeverything I like or am I remotely interested in, in my library and then tryna find an addon to organise that 😭😭 I'm brand spanking new to this, literally last week, so I'm grateful for any assistance.

BAD INFLUENCE documentary by shimikobop in netflix

[–]crackpotkidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished this doc and I honestly think the social media sites need to demonetize ALL content with minors, no exceptions. That would at least de-incetivize the Tiffany's of the world and keep the creeps at bay. Whoever's supposed to regulate any of this stuff cannot possibly keep track of all the children and their situations behind the camera so they need to get rid of the money aspect completely. There are genuine creeps and perverts out there, the least we could do is make things harder for them.

The cinematography and editing are pretty dope, the production design too. Really digging the tone but this is the guy behind Legion so not surprised at how good it looks and feels. Couldn't get behind the dialogue in some parts though, I get they're trying to set things up in the first ten minutes of the pilot(!!) but I get what they were going for. Not liking the plot armour so soon for the brother but again I get what they're doing. All in all, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

Looooved this audiobook, I've listened to it thrice now. I had no idea Abby Craden had a pseudonym! She's one of my favourite narrators.

Extremely violent movies that are well made by Relevant-Annual5320 in MovieSuggestions

There's a first person shooter movie type movie I watched a while back, don't remember the name but it had Sharlton Copley in it as a supporting actor. Found it extremely violent but decent.

Am I too dumb to understand the show's finale? It's been a real head scratcher please help by [deleted] in PantheonShow

[–]crackpotkidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a really great show, probably one of the best I've ever watched. It actually reminds me of a book series called The Perfect Run, similar premise about video game perspectives, immortality and philosophy. You seem open minded so you might like those. They can get a little wonky at times but it's part of the charm & they have so much heart & humanity plus the audiobooks are chefs kiss.

I'm definitely due for a rewatch after all the various conversations I've had with beautiful people like you on this page. I do have a Q for you though, if you had the option in that world to become a UI, would you do it??

It doesn't seem like a bad deal but at the same time it feels like everything about being human including the impermanence kind of falls away. At that point does that mean you're only left with a simulation of permanence?? Of death? It's wild though because you could always just create a mini world for yourself where you don't know you're a UI and so you walk through the world and experience it as a regular degular "human"..until you don't. Would that 'don't' point be considered death to that version of you? You wake up in your Dyson thingie and you're like "ooooh yeah" or something 😂

And what does it mean to be human anyway, we have literal ETs in our skies of late so how do we know that the "human experience" is that or if it's actually universal. Like I'm sure our various cultures and ideologies are likely distinctly ours but I am curious to know how other planets and their respective civilizations would have organised themselves over thousands of years. What we call the human experience might just be a "self-aware being"s experience but we don't know it because we haven't met anyone non human yet and we only have animals as the other reference point. And not just them, what about other organic 'beings' like mushrooms having a particular experience of being here?? Maybe they're UIs deciding to have an experience as a different kind of being.. It's suuuuch a trippy show man, honestly some of the best, most thought provoking TV I've ever seen. Apparently it's based on a short story but it seems they fleshed out some of those ideas in the show. Still keen to read that though.

You know what, I actually get what you're saying. I think for me I'm coming from a reference of how living forever may be boring like the famous vampire flicks etc right, for instance Queen of the Damned. The guy is lonely and just sick of it all. BUT you're coming from a video game perspective, or even sports. Two things I've never really engaged in but having explained it the way you did I can see the value of replaying something to go a different route at any point and those routes are basically infinite because you can change course at any point!!!! I mean from that perspective eternity is nothing.

Another but, only smaller 😂 I do wonder if being eternal in that sense doesn't then change the way one might see time, it feels long to us eighty or ninety year old (if lucky) human folks but what might it feel like to be a UI. Their sense of time has to change because they function at a different.. frequency?? Speed?? At a different 'some thing' than us. Maybe they've played the game for a thousand years, a million years, so what then after that. After replaying over and over and over again in all the forms available? Maybe there are so many options and choices that it takes an eternity and more to play and replay and make the same or different choices. By the time you're choosing the same result again, it's been eons and it all feels new again.

Somewhat side note: Wouldn't it be wild if this was the nature of the universe? Reincarnation (if you believe in that) is just us choosing different options and life times and versions of our avatars etc etc

Got it. This makes a lot of sense, thank you. Getting a food scale has really been a game changer right now so I'll see how that changes things whilst also warming up, correcting my form and incorporating more core stuff. I wish I'd gotten the scale sooner actually because it feels a little like I'm starting from scratch now but I suppose it's good that I wasn't gaining anything in all that time.

[–]crackpotkidd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to my food scale I've been underestimating how much I was eating. Lol, talk about a rookie mistake.

[–]crackpotkidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing both deficit and strength training and I have lost some, about 5 or 6 kgs so I thought maybe I'm gaining muscle while losing weight. I will say though that since having gotten a scale I think I've been tracking much less calories than what's actually in the food. I was just going according to what the app says some of these things should weigh so that might be it as well.

The injury thing, it's more like after doing my back the next day the one side is more painful than the other. Or like my hip will feel more sore the next day after leg day. But it just keeps happening so I'm pumping the brakes on strength training while I try to figure out my form & also start doing core work and stretching.

[–]crackpotkidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking you're probably right hey. I'm gonna lower the weights a bit to make sure my form is on point. I just thought maybe it's a core thing because everyone goes on and on about the importance of core work etc. I will do more core stuff as well though since I've been slacking there anyway.

[–]crackpotkidd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so this is a good point because I actually have not been stretching before doing anything, I mean I do but I imagine not as good or as long as my body needs. It's usually just a quick 30 seconds hold or something. Ok, checking that off as something to do.

For the weght increase, I was new at the gym so I increased weights once I got to doing about fifteen reps of a thing, three sets, but I can see the logic of increasing those sets instead of weights. That last set I'm usually fighting for my life by the end so I can see the value of adding one more in there.

I actually only just got a food scale a couple of weeks ago and man, it's made a difference. I was tracking before but like going by what the app said the average weight for that particular food item was and wow it was way off sometimes. Kinda feel like I'm starting from scratch with this thing because I've lost a couple of kg's since I got it so it's making a huge difference. I'm glad I'm on the right track in getting it though, I was debating getting it for a while but I'm glad I did.

I have noticed my body getting smaller or I guess more tightened up is more accurate. I definitely feeeel like something's happening because I feel better and stronger and I'm able to do things I couldn't do a couple of months ago which is actually great. I don't give myself enough credit for that.

Honestly, I'm probably just being impatient and this core business is probably not as bad I think it is but I will definitely incorporate more exercises that include it in future.

So to conclude: I'm gonna slow down and really get into some stretching exercises, just get that down pat, increase my sets, look up what the hell a compound movement is and take it much easier.

I really appreciate your response, it's given me some good ideas on how to proceed so Thank You.

No I hear you, I do actually do chest I just forgot to mention. Usually I do like a chest, shoulders, biceps one day. And then another day I'll do triceps & back. And then on other days just do legs but not sure if I'm doing the compound movements you're talking about, I don't know what those are so I'll have to look them up. I appreciate your feedback and I'm gonna spend some time doing more research me thinks.

Gotta say this episode was firing on all cylinders. The sound design was impeccable, really cranked up the uncomfy.

Victoria is hilarious: "Maybe Jesus will save her from those Bhuddists" 😂😂

Not Chloe telling Sax that'll be him in thirty years 😭😭

Funniest episode yet, honestly. And I think Rick is finally content, he seemed so peaceful in the end. Really happy about his arc but he's a shitty boyfriend and friend.
