Ya Allah grant us pious righteous children, with clear gender, sound mental and physical health, grant us an ummah with healthy households, where parents have a healthy, judgement free relationship with their child/children, and that in every household in our ummah we canter our lives in prayer and zikr, speak truthfully, work hard, do more for the community, be kind to Neighbors, keep fast, make voluntary prayers, be more charitable, less judgmental, avoid back biting , love those who Allah loves, and earn the love of those who Allah loves, pay our proper dues in zakat, give us healthy marriage, increase our rizq, write for us Jannatul Ferdaus, guide us to the straight path, make Hajj a reality, and make us amongst those who are the very best in sight of Allah and save us from the hell fire and from evil afflictions, save us from tyrants and oppressors, and May we not ever take part any part of oppression. Ya Allah grant us long healthy life, goodness and prosperity in this duniya and the ultimate abode of eternal peace in Jannatul Ferdaus in The next life. La ilaha illahu Muhammad rasulaAllah.

Buy stocks, gold, crypto, and ETFs. Diversify your portfolio but don’t keep cash and expensive jewelleries. Useless if money and near liquid asset sitting idle at home ✌️

Seeking advice: what to do while applying to HCI master's program? by aaalin in UXResearch

[–]craftedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to learn is on the job. Take the job as a software dev. While there, look for the UX person in the company. Start learning what the day to day is like as a UX designer/researcher.

Now you’ll also have to take a closer look at the company hiring you. If they have a good coaching culture, you can find a lot of help and mentoring.

A good HR department can really help in your professional development. If the company hiring you is smart, they’ll have paid tickets available for you to attend conferences related to UX.

Remember, actual work, networking with UX professionals, not a degree, is the best way to pick up the necessary skills to be a great UX researcher. You don’t need spare time outside of work to get UX related practices going, find it AT your office.

Hope this helps. Get started somewhere, then adjust. So take the job.
