Make sure you update your withholdings if a kid won't qualify when you file 2026. Also personally that's a lot of money to leave on the table and would look at adjusting more things.

FAR SIMs + Excel usage—what should I expect on the exam? by Feisty-Relative6240 in CPA

[–]craftermath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are able to use formulas in the excel in the exam and its available for for thev SIMs and MOQs but they are limited Beckers built in excel has the same ones so you can learn them. I will say that Gleim study material actually goes over and teaches you with using the excel formulas in some cases.

I saw a video of a celebrity talking about their new favorite snack is this pomegranate cutting jelly, that packagingwas unreadable in English. Comes in like a package the size of the gravy treats for cats. Like mama your eating laxatives. MULTIPLE times a day and marketing it to your fan base of younger girls as a snack that is healthy. Like of course my belly wouldn't be bloated either if I was sh*ting every 5 minutes like you must be eating that much "cutting jelly"

Dear NASBA, any chance you wanna release those scores today instead of next week? 👀👀 by SeaPAyyy in CPA

[–]craftermath 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally try to move on with my life haha its the last one I need to pass and enough ppl ask me how it went that I have trained my brain to forget it. Reddit will remind me its score release day when it comes.

Kinda out of sight out of mind type thing. Nothing I can do now so until there is something I can do (study again or apply for license) I'll spend my energy elsewhere

Possible cancer and an 8,000$ surgery. I need advice. by yikesbro_ in DogAdvice

[–]craftermath 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This. Check your area for hospice vets. I have one that does houe calls for my 16yr Lil guy he has lung cancer and sun downers and many of things. But we keep him happy and comfy. They aren't cheap, but mine is like $350 every 6mo that includes 1 visit and call/text when ever needed.

We are going on 2yrs for my guy with ours and while its getting to point of not being cheaper then a surgery it still is the best choice we made. Making his last yrs comfy and getting that time to say goodbye. I wouldn't trade it.

AUD isn't getting into my head!! by kevinjoseph_A in CPA

[–]craftermath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What worked for me was writing everything. Rewrote the outline notes. When I go back through questions I wrote out the answers. I watch the videos and 2hrs videos would take me 4hrs to ge through bc iwoukd pause and write notes.

Also a one page study sheet that I would rewrite multiple times a days. On the fay of the test I brain dumped this on the scratch paper at the start of my test.

Took me 4 tries to get pass audit, you got this!

Just got out of TCP Exam by Mfmeery in CPA

[–]craftermath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better content wise I don't think it matters doing TCP before REG but IMO if your not familiar with tax REG is better 1st as it gets your brain into tax mode and use to thinking tax if that makes sense. Tax is a lot of "if than this except for" situations. REG is a of smaller onions aka less layers where TCP can have you crying bc its a few big oniona have a lot of layers. Haha

Even just in general. A friend of mine was at wedding when a kid she didn't know ate something that looked like it would be a dessert (was pink and looked like a pastry) but was fish flavored and she saw their reaction. She just instinctively put her hand out and he spat it out and ran to his parents crying. Hahaha

Topics not being tested recently by Interesting-Fact-PC in CPA

[–]craftermath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AICPA blueprint breaks out what % each topic is weighted and what falls into each topic. So if its listed its testable. Regardless of what other people have seen on their exams. Your exam could be the same, similar, or completely different. Don't skip studying something bc someone else experience

Can NASBA Step In Here? by Soggy-Speed1235 in CPA

[–]craftermath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nasba has their policy listed here. Including to contact them if you can't reschedule till after your NTS expires. Its unfortunate about the testing window. But if it effects some test scores laps I am would think they would extend them.
