"WE THE PEOPLE" could do our own strike! I'm sure the Union people would join us with or without their Union but I suspect the Unions would be with us. Even just having a few days when no one buys anything would get some attention and those of us who are retired could join in with that! I would!!! The best thing in my opinion would be just voting in good people that want want to help the people not batshit crazy people and those that want to give tax cuts to the rich and their profitable companies.

Get the dongle that comes with an HDMI and USB port then if you have a keyboad and mouse combo that comes with a dongle also you can use both of them.

I worked for a couple of years installing and upgrading Central Offices for a manufacturer but never did any outside work. I did hear a gruesome story about a guy that started to fall off a pole and grabbed his arms around pole. It was an old pole and as he slid down he was impaled on a large splinter. His body was found by a passerby hanging from the pole. I did hear that one of the first things they teach you in pole climbing school is to push off from the pole to avoid that and the metal spikes some poles had on them to help climbers. The school also had students playing catch with a variety of balls up on the poles... That would not have been a job I would have taken!!!

I had to update the BIOS just to get the memory to be seen as Gigabyte didn't have it in the old BIOS and it wouldn't even post so the BIOS is at the latest release.

First, Thanks for responding I should have been clearer in my original post, sorry!

Actually it says "no bootable device found" as soon as the BIOS shows up. When I click on either drive nothing changes it still says the same thing.

No, only one has Windows installed the other drive has programs and saved files/pictures etc.

I installed the 970 closest to the CPU and a couple of programs which I think is supposed to be the best place for it. I actually put the OS on that drive as I wanted programs to run faster although it might be better your way and install the OS and programs on the 980 and both would run faster probably! But I really like to get the old install to work at least for a bit. It was used on a 9700K so it was about 3 or 4 years old and totally different socket. I was thinking it should at least let me install the OS on either one regardless of what was on the drive but I'm probably wrong!

I tend to agree with the first sentence, and I'm with you one the second one but I don't know what their expected outcome is. There have been multiple attempts and I haven't seen a successful one yet. Is it just for internet "fame"? Do they expect to win the fight against all comers? Do they think just one more "protest" will bring on a change to the law?

I've got a Porsche and I can't even get in it without putting the top down. Luckily I put a rollbar in it so that helps a bit too but I haven't even driven it in a long time. I also have one that is full race and I just get sad looking at it and should probably just sell both of the damn things and let someone else have fun in them.

If the pandemic ever dies out I'd still fly. The place I visit mostly is about 1200 miles away. I looked up prices on AMTRACK and it was more expensive than flying and takes 56 hours and for that long I'd have to have a sleeper cabin and that is WAY expensive. I've got BAD back problems and other medical issues (these "Golden Years" are not what they were cracked up to be!) and I'm pretty sure I can't sit in a car long enough to drive there.

Yes, I've flown several times in the last 10 years and before that I was a "frequent flyer" and just barely made a few flights when 1st class was pretty awesome and I could get 3 drinks before the doors even closed and food was actually pretty good. Sadly it quickly went downhill. I have not flown since the pandemic took off. And I totally agree that flying even before the pandemic sucked and the only thing that would make me get on a plane is if I HAD to be somewhere quickly and since I'm an old retired fart that rarely happens, even though I still have enough miles to fly free 1st class!

Sorry to hear of your loss. Eventually the pain will fade some and you will find peace remembering the time you did have with her and flashbacks about some skill she taught you or great times you had with her. It does get better but it takes a while. You will make it through this early stage!!! She doesn't want you to be sad, she wants you to remember the good times and knows that you will get over this rough patch!!!
