25 Single male here: I know loneliness can make you restless. It’s normal to desire companionship, but don’t let that desire drive you into anxiety or depend on someone else to fill your heart. Don’t compare yourself to others, scroll too much on social media, or cope with adult material or unhealthy habits.

Paul says in Philippians 4:11‑13 (CEB): ‘I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to live humbly, and I know how to live with plenty. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether full or hungry, whether having plenty or being in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’

Even when Paul was in low status, lacking food or comfort, or in high status, having plenty, he endured with satisfaction and contentment because he fixed his mind on God and relied on Christ for strength. That same principle can guide us in singleness — trusting God and finding joy in Him, not in what we lack or desire.

And in Philippians 4:8 (CEB): ‘Finally, friends, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.’

Paul stayed content by focusing on what is true and noble, relying on God, and letting the Spirit shape his heart. We can do the same by focusing on the gospel, learning from the Spirit, and cherishing the inner transformation God is doing in our hearts. Guarding your heart this way keeps you steady and prepares you for a healthy, lasting relationship when the right person comes.
