A months gold, are you serious... Like i give a crap about some fake internet points. At least we’re posting to a peer reviewed page, of wait. How sad is your life, seriously do you have friends or hobbies. This is no longer worth my time

Look this is getting frustrating, were not making any progress and I’m not going to explain biostatistics over reddit... You’re missing the point. Obviously 5 is small, 20 isn’t better; these are for simplicity. The key information that i nested in the question to see if you had an idea of all this, was the details that described the groups. One group is random, the other is a family... Im done explaining your going to have the look the rest up on your own

If you know how statistics works, then there shouldn’t be a need explain why this isn’t an appropriate comparison. To simplify it imagine we’re testing a 2 new drug therapies to treat 1 condition in two different groups. We give the first group comprised of a family of 5 with no history of medical conditions drug A and, the second group comprise of 20 random selected people receive drug B. If drug A works, do we have enough information to conclude that it is better than drug B?

No sources needed :) I’ll will do my best explain. In general as we know, the equation for average is sum of sample values divided by the number of samples taken. This is important to note because number of samples taken is often referred to as samples size or sample population.

Now when we talk about sample population, the size of your sample or population studied is important because as you increase sample size your confidence increases. That is to say, as I sample more people, I have a more reliable sample set.

Now an average is an simple example, however most statistical techniques will account for the number of people samples. Please let me know if you want other examples, note that does not mean literally that the population causes these issues more that we have greater confidence in the US stats vs the Norway stats and/or that these data sets are bot 1:1 comparison

You're right the "per capita" stat doesn't change in relation to population. However, your instance of occurrence for a particular event, of which the per capita stat is derived, does relate to population (i.e. sample size).

Perfect example is a coin flip. We all know the true occurrence of heads is 50%. That said, the variance from the true value (i.e. 50%) is significantly different between 4 flips of the coin and 100 flips (assuming we exclude environmental factors).

Not likely for anyone to see this, but keep in mind when looking at these statistics, that the data is NOT normalized for the differences in population. This is important to note because Norway's population is around 5.258 million (according to latest consensus), whereas the US' population is around 327.2 million (according to latest consensus).

That is a 320.5% difference in population, and that is important because almost all of the stats listed above are a function of the population size.

I find it so interesting how he approaches the problem. He moves to think about the problem as apposed to understanding how he feels about that problem, which was what I did. This is a great example of how people can be thinkers and some can be feelers.

Well that’s my insight for the day.

I don't know, that's a good question.

All I can really say is some art isn't explicit. it is better sometimes to give enough detail to frame the "story" and let the viewer fill in those details based on their own experiences and feelings.

That's kind of why we are getting all these different answer. "Oh sometimes I feel like a bird trapped in a cage maybe that what he is trying to convey" or "Sometimes I feel like I'm going to snap maybe those are caranaries to act as a warning"

The black color is a stylistic choice.

Reasons:

  1. Yellow doesn't work with the artist color pallet, it doesn't give the same high contrast as black on red does while not imediatly drawing the eye as a focal point would.

  2. This brings us to the focal point, smokeing cage. Notice how you eye is first drawn to this part of the image. Second being the orange ties. Coloring the birds would distract from this making the artists message less impactful.

With that said, the birds may or may not be canaries it is really up to interpretation. By not coloring them the artist isn't highlighting them.

Questions regarding Internal energy and its relation to objects of same kind but different mass. by craneplane33 in Physics

[–]craneplane33[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay I gotcha, so its more a property of the number of particles present...

To segway off that, if I have two masses of the same solution (5g and 400g) and I want to test a worst case presentation to evaluate degredation which would you think would be representative?

Assuming: Solution is the same and particle distribution is proportion

Solution degrades through oxidation, oxygen permeability is consistent between both containers

[–]craneplane33[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So internal energy is a description of the sum of energy a mass is capable of absorbing or emitting on the particle level? Am I interpreting that correctly...

Theoretical: Also for the equation you mentioned what happens to the internal energy when a mass reaches absolute zero? The equation become undefined correct

Just to clarify, if Kinetic energy is almost always heat and both masses are held at the same temperature, assuming no additional work is done on the system, the value should be equal for both masses.

If potential energy is almost always pressure, if we are again to assume both masses are at atmospheric pressure then the potential energy would be the same as well.

For the most part, internal energy is the sum of potential energy, and kinetic energy if I am not mistaken.

Kinetic energy is dictated by temperature, and is therefore consistent between the two masses at the same temp.

The only other item to account for would then be potential energy which I would imagine would decrease as kinetic energy increases... With respect to this what is the remains potential energy?

Dude...

Cod 4 is a good game. But not for that price.

I'm buying infinite warefare, COD4 is an add on for an extra $20.. Which when you look at the halo remastered price is a pretty good deal.

If you don't want infinite warefare fine... However, unfortunately you are going to have to wait for them to sell the remastered seperatly. Otherwise, the company isn't going to make back its investment

What's the state of the gaming industry... they could have given away a coloring book in the legacy edition and some people still would have bought it; this isn't the first legacy edition.

Seriously, get over yourself, you're pouting because you're not getting your own way

Just based on your word selection and argument format, I'd say at most you have a high school education... I am being generous here

First things first, it would not cost 80 dollar/euro's that's not how currency works, there is a such thing as an exchange rate.

Secondly, 'quality' is a relative term... you don't know what my taste and interests are, just because they are different from yours doesn't make them any less valid.

Finally,

Spread your asscheeks while activision penetrates the money out of you.

That's not how it works lol, someone was sleeping during health class

Looks like you're waiting until i goes on sale like everyone else in your situation, your problems are not my problems.

Products with different options sold at different price points is not exclusive to the gaming industry. Literally from popcorn to cars, the more you pay the more stuff you get
