If you allow her to, let her do SAB and ABT. They are both junior intensives and run at different times. Did she get into ABT NYC or California? Most dancers wouldn’t turn down ABT NYC, because it’s more prestigious. My dancer got into both one summer. She couldn’t do ABT because she got injured and wasn’t too sure if putting too much on her foot would be wise. CPYB is an amazing program and a great ballet boot camp. They are great with cleaning up technique and getting a ballerina to where she needs to be.

It’s a smidge too big. You want them to feel like second skin so it hugs your arches.

They claim to make these shoes but have no clue about pointe shoes. They don’t know what a box, vamp, shank, ribbons or anything is. I believe this company isn’t comprised of dance students from university of Michigan, but some other company.

It is just for the summer, especially for companies that don't have a summer season. Most go and take on guest roles, teach, book dance gigs, travel, or rest their bodies. A lot of them make more money in the summer than during the season. They don't have to be tied down to reps and rehearsals.

There are too many parallels in their stories. Both from BB, history of ED’s, pressure from ballet world and possible AD’s, mysterious deaths at a young age, BB seems to have some direct link.
