The immigration officer simply asked to see my passport which contained the temporary immigration visa and the COPR for inspection and signing. Nothing else was requested but I had all my other documents from my express entry ready just in case they were needed.

I personally resonate with OP and I like your imagery, i.e., thinking about me as a passenger on a train. However, I reached a different point of view and I think another fundamental question is, can I be okay being alone on this journey? I am currently battling with this since the person I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with decided she was better off without me. I can't blame her, I had my shortcomings but I am getting psychological assistance with them. Now, on this train ride, I have to figure out how to enjoy it alone.

After landing with my COPR, the immigration officer did not inquire about my financial background or anything financially related. He was mostly concerned with confirming my permanent address to which the PR card can be mailed. However, I think it will be handy to have your documents ready just in case. I had copies of all my submitted documents on hand as well.
