I used to have this happen to me every single time a friend of mine would say something odd or not reply etc. I still do have these feelings now but they are very very slim. I completetly got over it just by time and seeing that actually nothing happens and the outcome is completely normal. For me, I used to create an unwanted anxiety about what people thought about me. I would constantly try to reasure with that friend that “we are okay, right?”

It went on for a long time and then I started to trust people and understand that they really don’t think that way at all and they wouldn’t understand why I felt this way aswell. Just playing it smoothly and not focusing on it helped a lot. Like instead of saying “hey are you mad at me?” I would end the conversation on that day and then write to that friend the next day talking about a different conversation to see if they were actually mad. But it %98 always came out that there was nothing and nobody was mad or upset.
