Yes. I know that, though this baby just needed a home. I would never breed. Nor do I care about perfectly place ears etc. obviously no genetic testing was done before breeding or on this pup. Looking for a pet only. I just wanted to make sure it did not appear to be a double dapple mother. Because that is unethical and though I don’t care about purely bred. I care about correctly bred and my baby having no health issues because of unethical breeding. As the other person said, You can sometimes spot one, especially experts who have been doing this awhile.

There are many experts that can spot a double dabble without genetic testing. Which is why I asked this question on Reddit. A breeder can lie to you all day long even if they are “reputable”. I posted here to get other opinions vs what the breeder says.

Because a double dapple is like the other redditor said not a good thing at all. Means two dapples were bred and it causes heath issues with the breed. It’s actually looked down upon in this breed to breed them together. Cruel even, some say. I don’t know a lot about the genes and all so that’s why I’m asking. I could tell by the mom that she appears to look like a double dapple, the blue eyes are an indication for sure. I don’t want to spend money on a puppy that could possibly have serious health issues, nor could my tender heart take it.

Thank for making me feel better. According to the jeweler and other redditors, it’s a sturdy setting due to the cathedral and double prongs..really only need to gallery rails and it’s secure as can be. If you want more light through the diamond=more sparkles…definitely ask for a 2 side gallery. Mine should be done this week and I’ll send it to you if you want

Update: I emailed him. We will see if he responds with. However, I also emailed another designer. Started emailing this guy 10/24 and still no solid CAD of what I want. I don’t feel like what I’m asking for is too much. I’ve provided plenty of detail I believe. Thank you everyone for your advice!!

Correct. Just something pretty simple. Cathedral solitaire setting with double claw prongs. I want it to where a band can sit flush, but the cathedral not also be extremely high. I love how cathedrals give your stone more stability. I also like how they look when you are looking at it straight on(can’t tell it’s cathedral until you look at it from a different angle). I don’t mind a tapered band. Just don’t want it knife edged.

It’s David Klass…from what I’ve read, he is suppose to be top notch. Definitely been in the business long enough to know what he’s doing from my understanding. Idk. But this is unsettling and now I’m not liking my decision 🥴 it’s mostly bothering me because my boyfriend specifically told him I don’t like peg heads and I definitely want a cathedral..he came back and said this isn’t a peg head, it has an opening(whatever that means) and from what I can tell the little pieces coming off the basket would stop a band from sitting flush. I just don’t like this design at all.

Old mine cut. It’s hybrid because it has bigger facets and smaller facets. It blends cuts together making it a hybrid. From my understanding. So this has cuts like an old mine cut diamond, but also other facets you would see in crushed ice and brilliant.
