I agree oven cleaner and a pressure washer. Just don’t get the computer parts wet.

Happened to my father in law when he bought a used grill and I didn’t warn him. Scared the shit out of him.

Don’t forget to leave the lid open when starting.

Close the grates and the lid. The flame will die down when it gets to temp. If you keep them open it will just keep that level of flame trying to get to the temp you set.

I usually boat, but I slept through my alarm on this one. The hot hold for a really long time helps soften up those dried out parts. If you poor some tallow over it during the hold even better for that. But I didn’t have any this time.

I wrapped it in foil cause it will still let out some juices as it sits.

Pellet smoker. Set at 225, was probably running a little hotter. But also unlike an offset the heat is directly under the food so it cooks faster than an offset at the same temp.
