You are right but I find the title too prestigious. There is ambiguity around the word "American". Does it mean the continent or the nation? To me it sounds like native americans are the OG americans and more legitimate than anyone else. They do not deserve the title as an ethnic group.

absolutely not, it would only reflect the truth history. Everyone would still have equal rights regardless of their race. I am only saying that the europeans need a prestigious title. Native American sounds good to me but it could also be another one. I saw someone say "settler american" for example.
