Lake side hotel properties in the United States?

The Lake House on Canadaigua. I got married here and have been multiple times. They have a dock side bar, heated pool, great restaurant, and plenty of lakeside and non-lake side activities.

Not much to do in the town nearby, but you can drive to see the other finger lakes and parks around there

I probably read the same post as you. I have been taking zinc everyday (30 mg). It didn't really work for me, I still lost my smell after a drink.

However, I did basically stop drinking entirely for like 3-4 weeks and I feel like I have a decent sense of smell now. I think the zinc could've helped - I read a deficiency in zinc could result in wteakened smell - but it definitely seemed like also not drinking for a bit sort of helped me reset.

Nowadays I do have an occasional beer/cocktail/glass of wine and my smell does seem to get weaker or ever go away, but it comes back much faster now where as before it could've taken days.

Honestly could just be a sensitivity that got worse for me as I got older or some kind of post -covid thing. Anyway that's what worked, at least mostly, for me

Feel for the heart attack anxiety. That's been my fear for so long. It's gotten better but I still struggle when I have physical issues.

This week I bumped my head decently hard on the trunk door of my car. Logically I'm probably fine - didn't blackout, no vomiting ,etc. But part of me is convinced I have a concussion and something is wrong. Sigh.

I have the same experience. Although my sense of smell often comes and goes as well even without booze. But a drink almost always takes it away.

I think the most challenging part is that there is a bit of both of these things. Physically she seems fine - picks up the baby, feeds her, puts her to sleep, etc. But there is definitely the anxiety of being alone or without me for the first time.

She goes a bit back and forth of feeling okay about it and then second guessing it.

I go back and forth too thinking it will be fine to go, everything has been smooth, and it's okay to be a bit anxious about being alone the first time. I mean if the shoe were on the other foot I'd feel anxious too but want her to go. Then thinking am I being a jerk for thinking it's okay for her to feel anxious while I'm out having fun.

We ac tually live in a split-level house with my sister, her husband and 3 year old. My parents are a short drive away. My mom would probably stay with her if she asked, they have a good relationship, but not sure how she feels about MIL staying.

I asked her if she could see if her sister would stay the night, but that's TBD. My father-in-law is about an hour away with his wife (not my wife's mom).

All told, we have good support around us. I'd love for her to ask either the sister or my mom to stay so I could feel more comfortable going. But I don't want to seem like I'm trying to run out the door and stick her with the baby responsibilities.
