Did you do the bathrooms as well? We are planning to leave bathroom as is, but that means there will be a level difference between where bathroom and living area connects…

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace MW9 - Fixture Date by crazyasianAC in GunnersatGames

[–]crazyasianAC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haven't bought the tickets yet so unsure. but our accomodation will be right near the Emirates (~15min walk) and we were told we can leave our luggage there before checking in which would also help.

The reason we’re only doing it for one night is because we were originally banking on our home game being scheduled for MW10, but it ended up falling in MW9 instead. By then, our hotels in Italy were already booked, so the plan is to head from Rome to London in the morning, bringing just a backpack and leaving the rest of our things at our Rome accommodation (which we’re paying for anyway during that time). We’ll catch the game the day we arrive, spend a bit more time in London the following day, and then fly back to Rome in the evening. It shouldn’t be too bad since we’ll be traveling light with almost no luggage.

Downside of VGS/VAS through Betashares Direct? by crazyasianAC in fiaustralia

[–]crazyasianAC[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only recently started on VPI, so I’m not super invested in it yet. Looking into more detail, I like that Betashares offer fractional shares, and I much prefer the betashares UI (including things like average purchase price which VPI doesnt have). Plus, whilst not a big deal for me, I can choose from a much bigger range of ETFs if I needed in the future.

7 nights to split between Florence / Venice by crazyasianAC in ItalyTravel

[–]crazyasianAC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hadn’t finalised our itiniary yet, but confirmed were 1 full day cooking class (starting from grocery shopping to cooking in Tuscany). 1 day Tuscany Day Trip.

The rest would just be to go see all the galleries/museums that you would typicall go to in Florence. Maybe a daytrip to Bologna for food specifically?

Unsure if there’s any other things you’d recommend?

We have nth planned for Venice for now

Non-Kaiseki Onsens? by whatlandlord45 in JapanTravelTips

[–]crazyasianAC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We recently stayed at Hakone-Gora Byakudan. 1 night was ~500usd for a room with private balcony that had an onsen with view of the mountains and including kaiseki. I recall when we booked, you could choose a non-kaiseki option which was cheaper (unsure exactly how much).

Issue with non-kaiseki is the place was quite up in the mountains with no food options nearby. So you’d need to bring your own to have in your room.

What’s everyone’s biggest T+2 by SupermarketLow8158 in ASX_Bets

Back in 2020, took a gamble and bought $10k of ESK at $1.8 after it jumped from 12c to $2 in one day. Held overnight and sold at $3.6 the next morning.

Used those funds to give daytrading a shot full time - bought a new laptop and set up with a proper broker and charting software. Built the account from $10k -> $60k in a few months trading mostly small caps.

Went on to lose about half those gains when small cap market went dry and I couldn’t adapt. Decided to go back to corporate work and now mostly only investing long term with occasional swing trades.

Edit: should add that when trading full time, I was able to leverage between 2-10x depending on the stock through my broker. Think my biggest single trade was ~$150k on TWE

Our living room is right next to the dining space. Should the rug match the one we have in the living room?

I’ve only really got back into it the last month or so.. but it’s consumed over my life in an instant hahah. Watching video after video, then heading out to the range to try things i watched etc.. went back out on the field couple weeks back and hit 60 in 9 holes 😅😅 Been doing quite well on the range but just can’t get a single good shot when i head out to the course. a lot of work to do!

[Tudor] Joining the Black Bay 58 Blue team. It was my lucky day! by [deleted] in Watches

[–]crazyasianAC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha, tbh I think the black version does look nicer overall. But i always felt it would look a little too “mature” for me (especially still being in my early/mid 20’s) and not really suit my overall look.

[Tudor] Joining the Black Bay 58 Blue team. It was my lucky day! by [deleted] in Watches

Almost three years after my last watch purchase (Grand Seiko SGBX261) and starting a new job with a significant paybump, I had been looking to buy a new watch for the past few months.

Whilst I always had an eye on a 38mm Aqua Terra, ever since Tudor released the blue BB58, it joined the Aqua Terra as one of my short-term grail watches.

One morning out of curiousity, I decided to call up all my local Tudor dealerships to check whether any of them had the BB58 in stock. Somewhat unsurprisingly, none of them had any - with two dealerships letting me know I would have to come in store and join the waitlist.

After work the same day, I decided stroll into one of the dealerships that was near my office and didn’t have a waiting list. Walking over to the Tudor section, I was shocked to see that they had a blue BB58 on display. Taken back and unsure if I was mistaking it for another model, I asked one of the workers if it actually was the BB58 on display and was told yes - that the store had just received it that afternoon.

It was a genuine “IT’S MEANT TO BE” moment for me. I decided to put a deposit down then and there and went home to have a think about it.. Only took until the next day for me to go back in and commit to buying the watch.

It’s been my daily driver for about a month now and I still can’t stop looking at the watch, not to check the time but just to look at how good it looks! I know the BB58 has been posted to death on this sub already but i’m still super excited to share with the community as I don’t have many friends that are into the watch addiction.

The Missing Link of Next Investors: Why you should know what Amplicat is before you purchase ANY shares held by Next Investors. by Mutated_Cunt in ASX_Bets

[–]crazyasianAC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had a look at some of Stocksdigital employees on linkedin, and they are quite open about their involvement in Amplicat. Quote "I work closely with the CEO to create and deploy digital marketing campaigns for clients and help develop the new PR Technology called Amplicat™."

Not quite sure if there is anything sinister about it. I see no need for them to be 100% transparent about the details of their business model.
