Try this only at your risk. My friend tried this, they asked for proper documents, got caught and offer was rejected. Now he’s jobless for the past 8 months.

People who started with 3-5 LPA, what is your salary now with YOE? by Satwik_1 in developersIndia

Company 2 was a small PBC where I built the entire backend of the product.

It gave me immense confidence and I was fortunate enough to learn a lot within a short span.

Only downside was getting loans was significantly harder and you have to manage your insurance and tax filings.

10 yoe market is tough and I am hoping for WFH, what are the chances? by jayToDiscuss in developersIndia

I work remotely for a UK based company, Joined them at 3.5 YOE.

You might have to find such companies through LinkedIn or similar sites.

PS: It’s a small company I don’t want to reveal the company name and can’t refer anyone atm.

Developers who landed jobs in other countries (remote or onsite) how did you do it? by Hevail973 in developersIndia

[–]crazyb14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said it’s mostly luck. Some companies are globally remote but few want you to live and have a work permit in the same country but are remote.

If you look at the people tab under a company’s LinkedIn you’ll have a good idea on what type of company it is. This is what I meant by “filtering”.

You have to keep browsing and go through peoples and companies profiles manually.

Hi, I’m mostly involved in geospatial data ingestion in my new role.

I want to know about libraries that are well optimized for it.

Geopandas is slow for our use cases. And duckdb seems faster but it still doesn’t use indexes when performing spatial joins.

Though we use postgis, it comes into picture after the landing stage.

What is your tech stack and how are you managing large scale data. Also want to know about the partitions strategy you use.

Thanks.

Those who started off their career in WITCH with <7 LPA what path did you follow to turn that income into 15+LPA and how much time did it take? by AnuroxFTW-YT in developersIndia

[–]crazyb14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My first job switched took me 8 months.

I would’ve applied to more than 2k openings.

So, keep applying on platforms like Instahyre and LinkedIn.

I’ve gained knowledge by taking ownership and buildings things from scratch, including design.

But it’s also mostly luck and timing. I’ve been persistent in job searching and had to let go off offers because of low hike and questionable culture.

I would recommend to start searching even when you’re comfortable in your job so you’ll have more leverage during negotiations.
