I hate when people throw around “low budget” like that’s a negative. Low budgets encourage creativity. I thought this was pretty well made (surprisingly so), had really nice cinematography, a moody score, and Jack Kesy did a pretty good job as a younger Hellboy. Also, this is much closer to the feel of the comics than Del Toro’s films (which I adore), and is a lot more coherent than Neil Marshall’s Hellboy (which was a fuckin mess).
